The federal government has sued New York City, saying it ripped off Medicaid for millions of dollars by submitting tens of thousands of false claims. [ ]
The lawsuit says the city and a computer company used computer programs to dodge a requirement that Medicaid be billed only after private insurance coverage is exhausted. The lawsuit says false diagnosis codes were submitted to Medicaid.

Wow! Is there no honor among thieves any more? Imagine! One bureaucrat ripping off another. Meanwhile NEITHER gives two squats about the taxpayer.
So some government drone keyed in whatever codes were necessary to open up the spending spigot and shovel as much government money as possible to the city. Hey, why not? Everyone else is grabbing as much taxpayer $$$ as possible. Why should the city not get its snout as deeply in the trough as possible too?
