Tom DeLay
NEW YORK After learning the overturning of his felony conviction had been upheld by an appeals court, former Majority Leader Tom DeLay told WND he is considering bringing charges against the Travis County District Attorneys Office for prosecutorial misconduct and he might run again for political office.
DeLay said the Democratic Partys attempt to destroy him over the past 11 years because of his conservative political views is a direct reflection of the Marxist philosophy that shapes the political forces controlling the party.
He said he now has some very clever lawyers working on developing a legal strategy on either the federal or state level to bring charges against the Travis County DA.
On Wednesday, the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals upheld an earlier ruling throwing out his conviction in 2010 on charges that he improperly funneled donations to Texas House candidates.

Good for him. He isn’t taking this as a tamed conservative.
If those who abuse power are not punished for their conduct, they will continue to do it!
Sue them, big time!
Good luck getting up off the floor after 11 years.
He damn well should. Between Ronnie Earle and the Dyke Lehmberg who just indicted Rick Perry for doing his job, the Travis County DA's office is nothing more then a corrupt criminal enterprise.
I liked Delay and am glad he was vindicated. I hope he clears his name in the national media, although I’m not holding my breath. I loved the way he pounded liberals in Congress. Having said that, I don’t want him back. He was part of the crowd that ramped up pork spending and had the GOP do the bidding of DC lobbyists.
Good. He’s one darn good conservative.
Agreed.
GO FOR IT TOM, put that DA on the unemployed list and sue his office for millions and in the mean time, run for office again.
I'd love to see him back.
It wasTom Delay that first taught me the merits of smiling during your booking photo also known as a “mugshot”. Rick Perry must have followed his advice.
Actual title contains proper capitalization.
Ted Stevens (R-AK) was vindicated as well but now he’s dead so nobody cares. There really should be political consequences for these democrats and their show trials. I hope Ronnie Earle never takes another comfortable dump for the rest of his sorry, corrupt life.
Do it!
I do not think DeLay has much of a chance of prevailing in a civil lawsuit, but I hope he does it anyway. Start taking depositions of Ronnie Earl and other democrats and see what you can find. If nothing else, the depositions will make entertaining videos when they are posted on Youtube.
There is no question that there was political coordination between Earl and the democrat party, but ever proving it will require that someone on the left come forward with a smoking gun. Any documentary evidence of the conspiracy was destroyed long ago.
Tom Delay is 67. He should run for Congress again...depending on what districts have Democrat Congress critters he can run against. Or maybe run for state wide office
Good that they overturned the ridiculous conviction. Too bad it took so long.
Tom should stay in Texas with the primary goal of cleaning up Austin.
The only way this is ever going to stop is for people to go to prison for a very long time.
The Hammer was an excellent conservative. I hope he destroys liberals with a vengeance.
The mess with the DA’s office and its far overreaching can only be zapped with the right legislation. Now the good news.... This is pretty high on the list of priorities with our future Lt. Governor.
