Oh yeah, THAT guy!
How could I forget?
The Vulcan she chose looked a lot like our neighbor, a country neighbor named Brannon. He was a great neighbor but I just bet he was tough if he had to fight.
I wouldn’t tangle with anyone who could use the Vulcan Nerve Pinch.
“Amok Time” was written by Theodore Sturgeon. One of the better episodes.

My former resembles her. RIP.
Actually, I believe she was just simply a White Jewish girl from the Bronx.

He’s actually addressing Stonn, the rival:
Stonn, she is yours. After a time, you may find that having is not so pleasing a thing after all as wanting. It is not logical, but it is often true.
Ping.
Whatever she was she had a very exotic look. I would bet money that she had some Oriental ancestors.
And as I said, she was really pretty. I do not support marrying out of your race but there have been some really beautiful Eurasians such as Kristin Kreuk, and Phoebe Cates.
I saw her not too long ago in a fan fiction series called “Star Trek: of gods and men” where she reprised her role as T’pring. Lawrence Montaigne also reprised his role as Stonn. In that episode they also managed to snag Nichelle Nichols (Uhura), Walter Koenig (Chekov) and Alan Ruck (Capt. Harriman of the enterprise “B”) in cameo roles. The production values for a fanfic were really quite good.

That, to me, is her most famous role.
Her real last name was Sax, which is Ashkenazi Jewish. No Asian ancestry.
As for no intermarriage, you wouldn’t have those gorgeous Eurasians. My former fiancée was mixed race (Asian/White/Native American) and she looks a bit like a young Arlene Martel.
Funny. I know the notes to that ditty...
Her website has a 5 minute clip sampling of some of her work.
Looking at that she could play an exotic woman or one who looked like the girl next door. Did several as a blonde. She was that versatile.
You might be thinking of France Nuyen from the episode “Elaan of Troyius”. She was Vietnamese.
