72-Year-Old Man Knocked to Ground in West Village Attack

WEST VILLAGE — A 72-year-old man was punched in the face in an apparently random attack in the West Village Monday afternoon, police said.
The victim was knocked to the ground with a single hit as he walked past a man waiting in front of 99 Jane St., a doorman building in a residential part of the village between Washington Street and West Street.
The male attacker immediately ran off as his victim, who was carrying a shopping bag, fell into a doorway at 5:29 p.m., surveillance video of the attack shows.

Why do they say it was a male attacker, but don’t give any further description of the criminal in this case?
You know why.....
It seems that these victims are rarely the young and healthy type, if they’re male, or alone and with their toddler, if they’re female.
From what I’ve seen, these victims are almost always white.
Eric Holder will investigate the suspicion that the elderly man uttered a racial slur.
Because anyone with a brain and is paying attention knows the attacker was 98% sure to be a black male between the ages of 17 and 25.
Anyone who doesn't already have a clue... they certainly aren't going to give them one.
When are they going to start referring to this as a “hate crime” and racism?

The video clearly shows more about the attacker that the writer is willing to mention.

I absolutely have no desire to see our side embrace the abhorent concept of “Hate Crimes”.
A crime is a crime. How you feel or what you think when you’re doing it has no relevance in a free society. Regardless of whether this thug punched this old man out of love, indifference or racism it was attempted murder. That’s what the charge should be. (I’m not holding my breath on that one.)
The very notion of a “Hate Crime” is intended to smoothly usher in the matching concept of “Hate Speech”, something which has already taken place in Canada, Europe and Australia. The Islamicists and their compliant prison-bitches in the “Progressive” Left are trying their best to bring to this abomination to the USA. Let’s not help them.
Media lap dogs of the Gov’t of Obamanation sef-censor so as to avoid causing growth of outrage in the “white” population. And as well, identifying by race would be racist. Worse, by identifying by race, a few in the otherwise idiot white population might start to think of the knock-out game as a hate crime.
