I absolutely have no desire to see our side embrace the abhorent concept of “Hate Crimes”.
A crime is a crime. How you feel or what you think when you’re doing it has no relevance in a free society. Regardless of whether this thug punched this old man out of love, indifference or racism it was attempted murder. That’s what the charge should be. (I’m not holding my breath on that one.)
The very notion of a “Hate Crime” is intended to smoothly usher in the matching concept of “Hate Speech”, something which has already taken place in Canada, Europe and Australia. The Islamicists and their compliant prison-bitches in the “Progressive” Left are trying their best to bring to this abomination to the USA. Let’s not help them.
until hate crime law - which is bad law - is off the books, it needs to be applied to ALL.
