Which are the best miniseries ever?
Posted on 07/27/2014 7:40:44 PM PDT by MNDude
I don't watch TV much these days, so I can't say what have been popular miniseries in the past decade or so, but I remember there used to be big budget miniseries on TV all the time (A.D., The Winds of War, Roots. Etc). In your opinion, what were the greatest miniseries of all time?

“The World at War.”
Excellent, fascinating. The Stalingrad episode was the best of all I think.

And, if “24” is considered a miniseries, no others need apply.

I think it’s one of the best shows ever on TV and I’ve been watching since 1954.

I am sure they will get there eventually

The only one I remembered was the Kunta Kinta one, Roots. Watched the whole thing. Wasn’t bad, but wasn’t too good either. Even back then I felt like I was being strung along.
