The bicyclist, still unidentified, was taken to Legacy Emanuel Hospital.
The collision occured at 8:35 p.m. in Hillsboro. The injured man was riding his bike southbound on 10th Avenue. The MAX train was travelling westbound on Washington St.
The bicyclist was riding on the sidewalk when he ran into the side ot the train, police said. He fell onto the roadway but was not run over by the train.
The train stopped as soon as the collision occured. This caused an hours-long disruption on the MAX Blue Line. Shuttle buses were brought in for MAX passengers.

LOL! I thought maybe you just meant paint areas near train crossings green so cyclists with their heads down and music on would realize they needed to look up and make sure they weren’t about to ride into a train.

The city of Portland paints the bike lanes green at major intersection which gives the bikes ownership of the road. It is so surreal I can't really describe it. It was the idea of the ex gay mayor who had a fling with an underage government intern.

Portland Oregon? I’ll bet you 15 train riders are claiming whiplash. Three of them were on the train.

Does the green paint suspend the third law of motion? That would be some seriously cool green paint. /silly mode.
I escaped Portland 20 years ago when the weird was still larval. Now it’s a huge parasitic growth sucking all the sanity out of the entire state.

Be careful on the Silver Comet, or carry while you ride. Has a bit of a reputation for attacks by hostile natives around Paulding County.

We only ride into GA as far as Cedartown. That is about 10-15 miles inside GA from the state lines.

"A 58-year-old man on a bicycle who rode right into the side of a MAX train, according to Hillsboro Police, suffered serious head injuries."It's just not fair. We must protect these poor victims.

If the thought sounds good then everything else ceases to exist...reality is an alien concept to liberals. 20 years ago they were cute like a hamster that attacks a horse. Now they are obnoxious know nothings bound by emotion to force their thinking upon everybody else.
