Can two defensively suspect teams settle on a needed draw? If Team USA and Germany simply equal each others goal tallies, both sides will go through to the knockout rounds. In most cases, it would be expected that the two sides should line up in highly defensive formations and show little adventure, committing only the minimum number of men to any attack. If both sides play defensively, the draw will come regardless of any conspiracy.
The problem is, neither side is built to play the sort of boring, unadventurous soccer such a fixture requires. American fans are well aware of the struggles of Team USA to secure a back line, and Jurgen Klinsmann has settled on a system which uses two deep-lying and mostly defensive midfielders in Jermaine Jones and Kyle Beckerman to protect that back four.
Similarly, Germany is not the Germany of soccer legend, solid and hard-working and just good enough on set pieces to score one more goal than its opponent. Instead, under Jogi Loew Germany has been transformed into one of the most innovative and exciting attacking teams in the world. Playing a 4-3-3 without any true forward, the German system arguably includes either two or three false nines. As Mario Götze, Mesut Özil or Thomas Mueller drops out of the forward position and drags a defender out of position with him, one of the others or a midfielder like Sami Khedira will see the space that opens up and make a run toward the danger zone. These runs have produced many big chances already in the tournament, and the Germans have averaged three goals per match.

Everything is “globalist” these days. Even the sacred cow NFL has foreign players in it.
I’ll be watching the match with more than casual interest, obviously rooting for the US Sort of a hobby has been capturing action shots from these events, hopefully there will be some good ones to record (including American goals ;) It’s been tough to find a lot worthwhile IMO more than bloody head-knocks & inci[sor]dental contact.
A narrow Portugal win, plus a blow out against the USA will send the USA home. The combined goal differential of the two games, however, has to equal six.
You're correct about the Portugal-Ghana draw. If that happens, the USA could lose by any number and it wouldn't matter.
where can I watch live stream on computer?????Can’t get Youtube.
In a nutshell.
They’ve had like 2 feet of ran in Recife in the last 24 hours. The city’s flooded, access to the stadium is hazardous, the pitch is a mess, and it’s still raining. If they play the match at all then a tie might well be the most likely outcome.
There’s a definitely chance. Germany really doesn’t care about this match, they’re advancing to the knockout round pretty much regardless (if they lose by a LOT they could be out, but that’s not going to happen). We advance on a draw or a win also, and could even advance on a loss if Portugal wins depending on margins. Now the winner of the group gets a better matchup in the first round, but that matchup isn’t really worth the risk, especially not for us, because both teams advance on a draw there’s a really good chance of both teams playing it safe. Especially if the field is bad, nobody wants star players hurt trying to win a game they didn’t need to.
Germany is still the prohibitive favorite. I went to the German-US game in DC, which the US won, 4-3. It was the German C team. The difference in talent is enormous. But miracles happen. I just hope for a close defeat and a narrow win by Portugal.
It appears the Germans are starting their A-team against the USA.
Note the "Don't Tread on Me" flag. I can't tell you how many soccer games I've seen this along with the Gadsden flag.
.
Lots of commentary on how Germany and USA could just play defensive game and go our with 0-0 draw so both advance. But there was one article I read that I believe sums up why that won’t happen..PRIDE. Germans are not going to play a half-assed game just to statistically qualify for the next round. They’re going to go all out and play hard.
They’re not playing for a draw that’s for certain!
Aggressive game from both sides, Germany obviously more in control, but I think the weather could work in USAs favor as it makes the touch play more difficult.
Still 0-0 in Portgual-Ghana game
It sounds like the USA is starting to play better (can only listen to it right now).
The fact that soccer is a leftist plot should be spread far and wide.
