About 10 pm, WNW in the sky from central Jersey, moving right to left, split trail, dimming and brightening, biggest one I've ever seen.
Probably visible in Eastern PA also.
What if it’s a close encounter?
There has to be burning, screaming, running, last minute recriminations and confessions for it to count.
And then a boom.
Big badda boom.
Like Darks had given coffee to Soviet groundsquirrels.
Seriously harsh.

At your linked site it appears there were a flurry of sightings in Florida and than about 20-30 minutes later another flurry of sightings over NJ & eastern PA.
It’s June,not October.
It was Christie .... ate Mexican that night.
Someday I hope to see something good. My mother and a friend saw the Kecksburg object in Nov 1965. I never knew until adulthood it was a major event seen by millions across Canada & the US.
Hmmm, any strange reports coming out of Grover’s Mill, NJ?
Where’s the kaboom? There was supposed to be an earth-shattering kaboom!
Didn’t see the fireball, but I saw the weird lights over So. California this past week.
They were seen several other places .. like Camp Pendleton.
I'm curious .. would you be so kind as to elaborate? What about them was weird? I looked at the videos, but they didn't really convey much. Video and photos rarely convey the reality except partially. What struck you as strange about the lights?
? a flying desk lamp?
More likely Windmill or Stewarts hot dogs.
No problem. I just happened to be outside talking to a neighbor, and I’m always looking in a certain area, primarily southwest from on top of Mission Valley. I know that is the usual fly-over location to see the space station. It crosses from SW to the NE and it’s very obvious it’s not a star.
However, while I was looking in that direction, I saw what I thought were two “stars” right next to each other .. but they appeared to be larger than most stars and rounder in appearance. I thought I saw one of them moving .. so I just stood there for awhile - watching. All of a sudden one of the “stars” moved away from the other one and continued moving to the right (or more to the West). It put some space between the other “star”, and then it just stopped moving.
I glanced down for a minute or two .. and when I looked to the sky again .. both of the “stars” were GONE. I followed the usual trajectory of the space station .. just to see if it truly might have been what I saw, and I kept looking around the sky .. thinking it might be the space station after all, but I couldn’t find even one “star” in the sky that had the same size. And .. in the time I took my eyes off the sky, the space station would still have been visible, as it would be traveling toward the Northeast. Very weird.
I was reading my email the next day and discovered that some “strange lights” were seen over Camp Pendleton. I don’t know if that event had any relation to what I saw.
If I had seen that, I'd have thought it was pretty strange, too.
