More ‘settled’ science.
How many private pilots lost their medical certificate because of “High Blood Pressure”?
But then Big Pharm can’t push meds on you!
Statins and BP medicines have the great benefit of killing old people by causing falls.
Yea, pretty much it. More drug company hype.
They did that to me. I just stopped taking all the additional meds after almost passing out when I stood up one morning.
Here’s another. Cholesterol, you may be over treated for it, and those statins kill.
This is a Brand NEW study.

Wow, did not hear that...very interesting, and something that I’ll remember. Thanks.
You may want to post that one...we need to get past these myths.
I’m a Low BP 115 over 70-75, but my heart rate is high 90+ legacy of hypothyroid issues, the only time BP spikes is PAIN. When illness hits it can drop it to 100/50 then I’m in trouble. The so called Norm of 120/80 is rare for me.
Bkmk Thanks.
You should change your tag line to your gun has killed fewer people than medical mistakes do.
Being the victim of their drugs, I can tell you how bad some of them are. The latest ad for Lyrica is misleading For many it mimics FMS and causes more PAIN, and you can say good bye to your sex life. The Nexium ad does not state it causes Barrett’s Esophagus, It originally was designed for 2 week ulcer treatment. It also causes Bone Density issues. I have to take it, OA drugs ruined my Gastro tract with the GERD side effects.
I have Drug Induced OP, they are pushing OP drugs at me. I reacted to the least Fosamax thankfully a sample, 5 days and it was in the trash. Instead of vitamins and minerals. Calcium needs K2 complex to make it work well and stop your arteries from being clogged with it.

I have been saying that for years.
I heard some talk of redefining the starndards descibing high blood pressure to 150/90.
When my Doctor first put me on the meds to control mine, my blood pressure at the time was around 140/88.
The side effects of the meds resulted in high cholesterol, which I never had before, which resulted in another scrip and the side effect of those meds was a slight up tick in blood pressure.
Funny how this works and now I’m stuck on all these meds.
Be very careful about letting a Doctor put you on blood pressure meds.
Or are they attempting to justify letting people walk around with higher blood pressure and go untreated to save on prescription costs?!? Which articles are government propaganda and which are not? I’m inclined to agree that below 140 is optimal. There are so many types of people that one set of specifications can’t cover all of them without some allowances on performance.
Millions could go off blood pressure meds |

I refuse to take any prescriptions, with the exception for pain (like if I have a cavity or surgical procedure).
My friend is on 32 medications - the doctors are killing her. One drug they gave her fried her lungs. She’s in pain all the time. I’m trying to get her to explore essential oils & better nutrition...very sad situation.
Hopefully the DOT will change the standards for CDL drivers to 150/90 then. I had to go on blood pressure meds this year to get my DOT medical cert.
Be very careful about leaving BP meds.
