SOUTH TEXAS (KRLD) Officials say that nearly a thousand illegal immigrants a day are crossing into Texas from Mexico, an anomaly that is now being compared to Hurricane Katrina.
How do you prepare for that? says Don Ray, the Executive Director of the Texas Border Sheriffs Coalition. You cant have an influx of people like that without having an impact; I think we saw that after Katrina. Its relocation services that are really taking place. In the case of Katrina, most of them were United States citizens or people that were here lawfully, and now you have people that arent here lawfully.
Ray says that with that sort of influx of people crossing illegally into Texas from various parts of Mexico and Central America, there are public health concerns. You have that many people in one place you have the potential for illnesses that could spread that could have an impact on the local community.

When you put 1,000 or 1,500 people in just some little facility and they just came from another country, you never know what theyre bringing into the country, says Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

“.... the biggest complaint the detainees have is that they dont like their flour tortillas they prefer corn tortillas with their food.
A few well placed M-60s would stem this tidal wave.
Cosigned.
Where are the cowboys now?
Key difference being that with Katrina, we were at least trying to help American citizens. The foreign invasion from Central America is a sieve of criminals demanding scarce resources. There can be no doubt that all the amnesty talk only encourages more of it.
WTH?
I’m speechless.....SPEECHLESS as to why we as a nation have allowed these insolent people to dictate to us their demands.
Just here a few hours and they already feel entitled.
What??? And cut into the US supply of ethanol?
My impression is that a lot of immigrants when they first arrive in the US, perhaps especially poor ones, have healthy eating habits based on native diets. Some of these adolescents, if they're from poor self-sufficient communities might be used to eating healthier foods.
What is wrong with the US? These children should be sent home. Isn't that what US citizens would expect if our children travelled unaccompanied to a foreign land? Anything else would be considered kidnapping even if the minors want to stay.
It would be a massive undertaking, but the only solution is to bus them to DC. Arizona could bus them to California.
What can we do about it?
Where are these people crossing the border in droves. There aren’t coming across
at the ports of entry so there must be locations that they typically come to. Anyone know?
Hire more bi-lingual teachers....
Start loading these people up on as many cargo planes as you can get here. Men, women and children. Get them out.

Welcome to what California has had to endure for a long time now.
They would love San Francisco. Also Seattle.
Yes, the teachers unions are licking their chops at that prospect.
Hurricane Obama has decimated the land .a catastrophe in so many ways..
