She worked at an aircraft plant during ww2. I’ll try to find that pick.

Was called Radioplane. I worked there many decades later when it was called Northrop Ventura. Pictures of her were around there all over. Very fresh faced and healthy looking girl/lady.

Too bad she got connected with Hollyweird, they ruined what could have been some guy's wonderful wife.

Marilyn symbolized the idealized, stylized woman of that time, boldly sexual in appearance, breathy, coquettish, playfully flirtatious in mannerism, not at all mysterious or complicated in personality.
She was given the title of being the “IT Girl” of the 1950’s, with Jayne Mansfield running a very close second. Today Beyonce and Kate Upton have been given that title. This is useful info for the sheep who wish to adore and praise the ‘right people’. Of the four women mentioned, I don’t know much about Kate off screen, but I get the feeling that Beyonce is the dimmest bulb in the box. She’s always better off sticking to her ‘day job’ of being “Miss Thing”. If you get Beyonce off topic or out of acting like part of the In crowd, she is stunningly empty-headed.

Kim Novak supposedly never liked Marilyn, thought she overacted. Poor Kim with that “Frozen” face.

She is one year younger than my Mom, who was also born in Los Angeles, and, I think, they both looked remarkably similar...in their youth.

My Mom though, was never addicted to drugs or alcohol, never dated the rich and famous, and was never sexually immoral.

As a man I found her beautiful, though she did get “Jack’d” around.

She was the first woman crowned Miss Artichoke and at least once a month I go to The Giant Artichoke, in Castroville, to eat fried artichoke hearts in her honor.

Like her, they are beautiful to hold and so delicious to enjoy.

I’ll be there on Sunday and think of her as I enjoy my favorite snack.

1. I have never understood the idol worship of any celebrity.

2. Yet, without all that, Marilyn WAS beautiful and photogenic.

3. The 19 pictures don’t change the image of Marilyn at all. If anything, they expose some of the natural beauty she had.

I thought one of the photos was unusual; she had her legs crossed instead of spread wide open in her usual stance or pose. Very unlike most of her photos. I understand Billy Graham attempted to witness to her once, a few years before her death, and she rudely badmouthed him....and Jesus.

Yup - Heddy Lamar, co-holder of patent that is the basis of “spread” spectrum (aka freqency-hopping) communications.

Hedy Lamarr co-authored the concept of CDMA during WWII as part of a torpedo guidance architecture. She made millions later in life when it was applied to cel phone tech.

A friend of mine met Grace Kelly at a wedding and when he first saw her he literally gasped at her beauty.

Personally I always thought the young Elizabeth Taylor was over the top beautiful. Whoever had a face like that? And for overall head to toe - Sophia Loren.

My dad always liked Elizabeth Taylor when she was younger pre-Michael Jackson supporter...: )

I always found it interesting that she was discovered by Ronald Reagan.

I don’t think Twiggy was all that pretty for that matter, I just don’t like it that females who were not naturally endowed are ridiculed and made to feel shamed and non-sexual.

Me neither. It will always be amazing how she went from being Norma Jean Baker, the dark haired pretty girl next door, to the glamorous blonde movie star.

We’re still not certain how Marilyn died. Suicide didn’t make sense, if you get my drift.

The pictures did nothing to make me see her any different, when I was young I thought that the movie stars were just rich people who had it made.

I changed my view on that many years ago.

Most of the greatest stars in the time when Holywood was great came from poor families, they worked their tails off to earn a lot of money and get what they thought they wanted.

I worked my tail off and made no money and did not get what I thought I wanted and am no better off than they are.

Marilyn Monroe was just a dumb kid that was taken advantage of by the clowns who ran Hollywood.

And I did see two movies in which I liked her, and that was river of no return and the misfits.

P.S what is BFD?

Gotta’ read “Goddess” and you’ll understand.

I would prefer to get some ones view that does not come from some one elses view which they read.
