Hug your cat is one of those seeming pleasing straightforward holidays. Quite simply, it's a day which cat owners everywhere are encouraged to hug their cats.

Do we need a holiday to remind us to hug our feline friends and fur balls? Don't we do this every day?

Still, as holidays go, this one seems nice. I suppose if you don't have a cat you can hug your dog instead.

Lynn-Dah-The-Dawg, Famous Canine Lawyer, is bringing suit against the Felinist, Caninaphobic, (and possibly racist!) founders of "Annual Hug Your Cat Day" on the basis of species bias and Caninaphobia. Ms. Lynn-Dah, who is also BLACK, has been an advocate for the Canine Community for 7 years (that's nearly a half-century in dog years!) and has been a vocal voice in favor of canine nudity, as demonstrated in the landmark case Muffie vs. Jones, in which the right for canines not to be dressed up for Halloween was upheld, but overturned by a higher court (infested by Spciesist activist judges!).
