I’d bet my next paycheck that these sissy handlers of his don’t even know that he has to make the team yet lol!

think they should start a Football league just for gays

I don't know how well this would go over. The center would constantly grab the wrong balls, and they would blow a lot of plays.

“Why does “token gay” come to mind. Let’s see if he can play football too.”

The most disgusting thing is that while these perverts can’t donate blood (because of the nasty things they transmit to each other - of which AIDS is only one), we’ve basically let them into two fields where it is almost guaranteed that blood will be coming into contact with other people: the military and football. Who wants to be lined up across from this freak as he leaks on the field? Who would want to be the team doctor?

In the past “pioneers” would talk about how much pressure was on them to perform because they were representing a whole race or gender or whatever; nothing like that here. He is a token homo, and as another FReeper put it so well, a “professional homosexual” (like Ellen).

Great Scott! I never thought of that angle and I’m sure the general public, many like me, have forgotten the HIV epidemic of a few years past.

Yes, I believe the NHS said the HIV virus is transmitted through the exchange of body fluids, specifically blood. Wonder how the media is going to handle this scenario since football is a contact sport and blood does get splattered from time to time?

Wonder how the St. Louis Rams off the field grunts are going to handle the bloody towels and equipment. They may have to get HAZMAT training and equipment. This might end up costing the NFL an arm and a leg. Also the Rams probably need to lawyer up before the first lawsuit is filed.

And Oprah and her friends in showbiz need to tell us how they are going to play down this situation. Last I heard, OWN has decided to cancel their plans for Sam’s début in showbiz.

Liberals continue to amaze me with their lack of common sense and respect for the law of unintended consequences.

I figure the NFL will make a special roster excemption for him........the teams with gay players can retain 55+ on the roster, the other teams 54.

The “Sam I Ram A Guy Between The Hams” show has been postponed. My guess is that if he is cut it will be too early for the show to even film more than a couple of episodes.

I’ve posted (many times) on PFT that it’s only a matter of time when a normal/straight gets AIDS from the homosexual, AIDS infected blood on the field.

The wrongful death lawsuits will quickly bankrupt the teams and NFL.

Not surprising, Florio et al quickly deletes my posts.

“Why does “token gay” come to mind. Let’s see if he can play football too.”

I’m sorry I didn’t answer your original question in my last reply.

I was thinking of the “token quarterbacks” in the league who can’t remember where they are (critical downs or time remaining) or how to execute the plays (in his lost playbook) when the offensive coach calls them. They could f*ck up a quarterback sneak and do it at the worst time.

In my mind he was drafted and billed as the “first gay player” drafted into the NFL. His football skills were pretty much ignored. To me that is a “token” player. Time will tell if he has the skills to survive in the NFL. I hope the NFL will not give any special treatment to him. BTW, he is not the first by any means.

Tom Landry and Vince Lombardi are spinning in their graves.

OK, everyone stay calm, I am now searching for my fireproof jock strap. I know have offended someone out there. :)

Yup. And this stupid show was called off after Sam's people talked to the Rams. I can imagine Jeff Fisher letting them know in no uncertain terms he will not tolerate as circus around the team.

I don't always agree with Whitlock, but I gotta hand it to him for just coming out and saying what's on his mind. "Jason Whitlock" and "politically correct" are two things you aren't likely to find together in the same sentence.

Maybe Whitlock is a regular reader here on FreeRepublic. I've been saying for weeks that Michael Sam has no interest in playing football, and that he's pursuing a more lucrative career path as a professional homosexual instead.

Talked to EMTs about this and they say the possibility of HIV getting transferred is remote. I then asked them why they wear gloves if it's so rare. I also stated that where their job is to stop the bleeding, on a football field that doesn't happen so quickly. No answer.

Getting beyond that what happens when an opposing player's assignment is to make a hole for his RB or QB to complete the route and the only way he can do it it is to knock the defender out of the game? Would he go lighter on Sam so he doesn't get the backlash if he does knock him out? It would almost be like beating up a girl. Players shouldn't have to consider such things.

His first guest will probably be Barry showing us how to hang drapes. Following that, Sam can show us how to arrange flowers, play a little classical music, and maybe we’ll give a tour of his “love nest” too.

Liberace had taste and talent, but he didn’t play football.

Somehow, in my mind, queers and football don’t mix.

The lawyers and their paid medical expert witnesses will show the NFL if there is a way, this can happen.

By his own standards Mr. Whitlock is obviously a homophobe.

They can pay him a few million a year to hang out in the locker room and to shower with the other men.
