They just need to get a few minutes of video of him looking like he's playing, then they can make him into a trailblazing hero for the lefties. They'll name some high schools after him, build a museum about his struggle for equality, and so on.

Yeah, I think you’re right. And the sad thing is that if Sam had kept is mouth shut and just played football like everyone else, he might have been a good football player. The Rams should have cut $am for failing to disclose the Oprah deal as he basically lied by omission.
I rarely agree with Jason Whitless, but he’s right in this case.
Either way, he’ll be cut as he doesn’t have the talent to make the Rams DL which is the best in the NFL and is deep.
Unlikely they will carry 9 DE’s but if they do, the 9th will be Ethan Westbrooks who can play both DT and DE, unlike $am.

Even if his on field performance is utterly deplorable, cutting him will still be met with loud screams of homophobia. I am not into conspiracies, but I wonder if there was some back room deal, for him to be drafted? What are the Rams getting out of this?
