A Kevlar vest that does not cover the heart?
Epic design flaw?

And now that dude has nothing left but a broken Kevlar vest , a broken heart, a girlfriend in prison and a Darwin Award.

Note to the uninitiated, FLAK jackets are for flak,
not bullets. They don’t do much for flak either, except
they make you feel protected which means you’ll get on
the airplane in spite of your imagination.

Id call it suicide by stupidity. I feel sorry for the girl but she’s learning that just because a boy says to do something doesn’t make is a good idea.

A South Carolina teenager was charged with involuntary manslaughter after police say she fired a shot at a friend in a bulletproof vest, but missed the Kevlar and struck him in the heart. Pardon?
The point of a bullet resistant vest is that it protects your torso where your heart is. Was his located somewhere unusual?

Yeah, I’m guessing it was an old flak jacket and the writer of the article just called it “kevlar”.

Flak jackets stop flak —SORT OF. They don’t stop bullets.
“bullet proof jackets” also generally don’t stop rifle bullets and they rarely stop arrows, bolts, or knives.

flak jackets aren’t bulletproof vests.
