Look for Obama to propose raising benefits to help the poor stretch their hard-earned EBT and SNAP dollars.

Food inflation has already happened. Check the prices anywhere you buy food

But thank heavens there is no inflation! My social security increase from 2013 to 2014 is guaranteeing me that inflation is negligible! I trust our government, especially king Barack. /S

Pastor Lindsy Williams may not be 100% accurate with the info he has shared publicly that he says comes from one of the ruling elite insiders but he was right on with this food price spike 2 years ago. He said he was told that food will remain available in the US but unaffordable for many if not most.

It’ll get much worse as the effects of the California water situation are made clear to shoppers by August.

Taking a toll on the White House too.
Time to relieve the tension with another $10 million dollar vacation.

My suggestion would be to also consider buying and storing some long term freeze dried items as well as the standard gardening and canning efforts. My legacy stuff has a 25 year shelf life and the stuff is not bad tasting. It tends to be higher in sodium, a hypertensive no-no, but in a true emergency it`s lite weight and easy to transport.

keep this in mind Food stamp recipients have been cut 50.00 to 75.00 at least in the state of Michigan. the state receive less money from the feds as the stimulus money ran out in 2013.. In October a recipent I know went from 125.00 to 92.00, than in December down to 82.00 January to 75.00 and March down to 63.00. The recipient is screaming mad to. the Lifeline sponsored phone he lost the service too. Lower food stamps and no cell phone. The guy is running mad as hell, I told to get a job there are openings every where and he screams welfare gives him enough for rent and car, but why work. I simply rolled my wheelchair away as I sat in the doctors office awaiting the latest chemotherapy results.

keep building up the food reserves - slow but steady.
Even weeks when I'm pressing close to my food budget I can still buy a few extra cans on sale (with coupons, no less!)

Don’t forget to thank the Fed and the regulators for bringing this situation about.
