Donald Sterling told friend in recorded conversation that 'I've done nothing wrong' and that in America 'you can't force somebody to sell property
He claimed his lawyers have told him that it would take '20 years of litigation' to force him to sell the team
Sterling said the $2.5m fine imposed on him by the NBA is 'far excessive'
He said: $2.5m for what? For telling a girl I wanted to have sex with her and why it would be so beneficial for her?
Sterling called his mistress Stiviano 'nuts' and fears that she will 'take me down'
Hit out at President Obama for condemning him publicly calling him 'flippant' for speaking without 'getting all the full facts first'
Sterling also claimed that he had the backing of some black groups

I do think it is ridiculous that a mob of union thugs who run around in shorts are trying to tell a business owner that he cannot own his own business. Or his wife. Or his kids.
Talk about a thugocracy.
THUGS IN SHORTS should be banned from the NBA.
At least he didn’t call him uppity.
0bama’s flippant remarks about Donald Sterling will serve to make 0bama look weak in the eyes of the world. 0bama said that Assad of Syria must go. 0bama says Donald Sterling must go. Putin, North Korea, and the Chinese probably cannot believe how lucky they are to have 0bama in the White House. America’s allies must be making alternate plans.
When Reagan fired the air traffic controllers early in his first term the Soviets sat up an noticed it, even though the air traffic controller strike was not an international incident.
The guy has a history of this....it never bothered anyone before...To take away his whole life for something he said??
I almost agree. The more I hear about him, the more Sterling looks like a piece of cr*p. But the punishment imposed upon him is totally out of line, and a terrible precedent, even though his behavior almost deserves it.
I don’t much care about him, but I do care about the precedent this totally unjust punishment will set for our country.
Sterling is not going to be able to win this case as he has major forces working against him.
The NBA players will not play for or against the Clippers.
Advertisers will not pay for commercials during Clippers’ games.
Sterling is not exactly a full owner of the Clippers as he is simply a owner of a franchise.
His position is akin to an owner of a Popeye’s Fried Chicken franchise saying that he did not want them showing up up his Popeye’s with black folks.
A franchise owner does not have complete control over his business.
Players are not going to break their contracts and this is far from a slam dunk. Since when is being a jerk reason to take your franchise away?
He may be a jerk.....but I say, “Go, Donald, Go!”
They would not have to strike, but could all come down with an illness or injury whenever they play the Clippers.
The NBA and the other team owners want Sterling out and will not fine the players for refusing to play against the Clippers.
And if advertisers will not pay for commercials during Clipper games, there will not be money for the NBA.
Oh it bothered people before, just not enough simultaneously to be front page news. Nobody is taking away his whole life, the team is a small fraction of his holdings. He embarrassed the league, and he keeps doing so with his interviews.
I was waiting for the cries of “racist code word!”
They were getting ready to break their contract. Word came out that the Cippers and Warriors were going to not show up if some punishment wasn’t announced. Being a jerk is THE reason to get your franchise taken away, embarrassing the league is the biggest sin there is.
I hope he does take it to the USSC, and wins!
You should be able to say whatever you want in your own home without paying fines or losing property.
Saw this guys Anderson Cooper interview. Freeper’s should not hitch their wagon to this guy. I think maybe his wife has more credibility for continuing as owner. This guy is senile.
Perhaps, but if the Clippers players also claim to be sick or injured, he won’t be able to cut them all from his team.
And remember, an NBA game only exists on TV to fill the time between commercials. With our commercials, there is no game on TV and there is no revenue.
