opinion/feedback on best budget tablet?

Asking for opinions on the best budget tablet. Something big enough for me to work on -- i.e., be able to type easily and see the display without holding it six inches from my face.

Not worried about communications -- as long as it's got WiFi built in (which I'm sure they all do), I can use my cellphone as a mobile hotspot to transfer/send files. This is intended to be a replacement for a working laptop/notebook.

And again -- "budget" is the keyword. Thanks all!.

You could buy a 7” Nook tablet for $129.00. It runs a proprietary B&N version of Android and receives frequent updates to keep everything current. We like ours and sometimes use a bluetooth keyboard instead of the virtual keyboard.

Download the KingSoft Office suite free from Google Play and you are set to do some real work.
