Luke. Leia. Han. Chewie. Artoo. Threepio. All present and accounted for as StarWars.com unveiled the official cast of "Star War: Episode VII" Tuesday.

The Star Wars team is thrilled to announce the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII.
Actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker in the new film.
Director J.J. Abrams says, "We are so excited to finally share the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII. It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again. We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud."
Star Wars: Episode VII is being directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and Abrams. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk are producing, and John Williams returns as the composer. The movie opens worldwide on Dec. 18, 2015.
While original stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford had dropped hints that they would be reprising their roles for the new chapter, which takes place around 35 years after "Return of the Jedi," nothing was confirmed until today. The trio will be joined by longtime castmates Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Kenny Baker (R2-D2) and Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca).
New additions include Oscar Isaac and Adam Driver, who recently appeared together in the Coen brothers' 2013 folk music drama "Inside Llewyn Davis." Also onboard: Andy Serkis (best known as Gollum in the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy), Domhnall Gleeson ("About Time",) and the legendary Max von Sydow ("The Exorcist"). Fresh faces John Boyega ("Attack the Block") and Daisy Ridley (who has appeared in just a handful of BBC dramas) round out the cast.
“NOMAD” from the TOS episode that “The Motion Picture” rips off was a lot more interesting than “V’ger”, it was a little probe that came on the ship and vaporized redshirts, that was at least fun.
The tragic story of Willard “Mitt” Decker (weird that both of the parents from the crap show “7th Heaven” have had major roles in Star Trek movies) is the only thing about TMP I found interesting. Kirk comes in, demotes him and steals his ship (and it becomes clear he’s never gonna give it back), the ex-girlfriend he still loves dies and is replaced with a robot clone that he’s forced to interact with, so he kills himself just like his father did (it wasn’t stated but he was supposed to be the son of Commodore Decker who killed himself on a TOS episode).
5 is the worst Star Trek Movie/episode ever. Worse even than the TNG clip show episode and even dumber than the Voyager episode where Janeway turns into a lizard and has tadpoles which can fall into “so bad it’s good” territory. There is nothing redeeming about it at all, there may have not even been a single good scene in it.

I like the followup movie The Bourne Legacy 2012 WITHOUT Matt Damon. It costars an older and good looking Rachel Weisz as a bi-chemist working on testing related to drugs making human killers.
Recall a young Rachel Weisz playing a similar role as a scientist in Chain Reaction 1996 with young Keanu Reeves which was 16 years before this one. I always got a kick out of that one.
This one was a fun movie.
This Bourne movie has Great Drone scene using Hellfire missiles to take out the programs agents after the program is turned off.
She makes a perfect crazy girlfriend. They should have her stalking Han Solo as the crazy ex-wife in the new Star Wars.
Nemesis was better than Insurrection I guess, that one was more like a bad TNG epsiode than a movie.
But still, pretty dumb. An emo clone of Picard raised as a slave in a mine takes over the Romulan Empire and plans to steal Picard’s blood, attack the Federation even though he has no reason to dislike them, and rape Troi because she’s the first human woman he’s ever seen? Are you serious? And Data’s death seemed tacked on for no reason. Did they plan to save his brain and put it in his retarded brother if there had been another movie?
If they wanted an evil version of Picard, how about the using the Mirror Universe? The evil Picard from the other universe (who would have been born a slave since DS9 had the evil Empire be conquered as a result of Kirk’s speech to Evil Spock) could have come over and tried to take his place or something, that at least halfway makes sense.
As for Rick Berman he should be murdered for bungling Enterprise and allowing Voyager to be mediocre at best with the terrific premise it had.
They really hit their stride and delivered some excellent stuff. If only Voyager or Enterprise had been as well executed.
These are the best prequel reviews ever done. Very funny but they run 60+ minutes each.

Oh, no... I’ve never made it out to the west coast. I saw it in Philly, at a neighborhood theater, with a full-size screen - that was before they started chopping the screen size down to make three and four theaters in one, to squeeze more people in.
I saw “Midway” in sensurround too. That was unbelievable. The SEATS were shaking when the Hellcats on the carriers were winding up.
Great movie, one of my all-time favorites.

Still remember the Seinfeld episode where Jerry was quoting “Wrath of Khan” to George’s fiance’s parents, at her gravesite... That was hilarious.
That would have been cool. But the Star Trek 6 we got ended up being one the better movies.
I also read about another rejected movie idea that would have showed an ancestor of Kirk during the Earth-Romulan war that SHOULD have been the main focus of "Enterprise". I would have liked that better than an uninspired reboot, but their main aim was to wring more cash from the public by exploiting popular established characters, and they succeeded I guess.
