I would like to share the best rules that place ignorance at the most unsuspected limits. Im positive youll recognize someone close to you who appears to be a true professional but who, in reality, isnt anything more than an unqualified beginner. These are, in my opinion the most important rules:

A PERFECT FIT to all in Obamanation, and their doormat Republican “opponents.”
The Obamadork and his West Wing set of felon/cretins manage to touch each of the ten items at least once per day.
‘Twould be funny if not so very true.

Uh, these are rules for incompetent managers, not incompetent professionals. Actual professionals, doctors, lawyers, accountants, programmers, engineers and mechanics don’t usually remain employed for very long if they are incompetent.
I have an additional rule to add for incompetent managers though: incompetent managers focus on what they know how to do rather than what actually needs to be done. For example, if an incompetent manager thinks they know how to design a logo, then that’s what they spend all of their time doing. And if it happens that the logo is for a product the incompetent manager is in charge of developing, well you can almost guarantee that product development is going to be a disaster.
Basically, the D words: defer, deflect, delay, diffuse, dodge, duck, distract, deny, deride, demean, defensive, and so on.
When you work around people like that long enough, you can almost see the shells of the shell game flying around in your mind in a fairly discernible pattern, and they become easy to spot in a crowd.
Many incompete doctors just get reshuffled until in the end they get a position in research the same with incompetent engineers and programmers they just get shuffled around until they get gigs as ‘Consultants’! ;-)
You worked for one of these too?
LOL - you beat me to it. BTT
Life insurance companies hire MD’s in their underwriting departments. Some of these are competent physicians. Some.
Some of these are competent physicians. Some.
I believe that ‘experts’ such as doctors, are mentioned in the Peter Principal. Physicians who never see patients but are always called upon to analyze the latest ‘medical’ breakthrough. They are kept on the staff of media organizations for their title alone. Think Dr. Oz, Dr. Phil etc....
Admit nothing, deny everything, make counter accusation.
Here’s a give-away — lists address as 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington DC.
Can’t stand either, but while Dr Phil actually fits the definition of a quack, apparently Dr Odd, err, Dr Oz is a competent physician within his speciality. They’re both insufferable Oprahbots however. Too bad I can’t get my wife to see that!
“You worked for one of these too?”
Hasn’t everyone?
(Actually, the vast majority of technical managers were like this where I worked most of my life.)
Traits of a psychopath. And they’ve only mentioned ten out of hundreds.
