I do like the fact that you must win your first appeal or you won’t get another. It prevents the managers from using the appeal to slow the game down.
I watched a college game the other day. The same HP ump as the last game I watched between the same two teams. It’s clear that the ump is bias. The strike zone is a whole lot larger for his boys compared to that of the opposing team. This is just one example of his MO.
What? The games weren’t long enough already?
If you don’t like delays, watch volleyball.
Bad calls are just as much a part of the game as swinging at a bad pitch, or making a wild throw. I watched Scioscia run out onto the field, where he stood looking at the dugout to see if he should challenge a call. He wasn’t even making the decision based on seeing the play differently, he was waiting for someone to watch the play on a monitor to tell him to protest. Why not just put the umps in a room to watch the game on monitors themselves?

Tigers got two replay rulings yesterday. I doubt it took more than about two minutes total.
I agree. It is one of the huge problems with baseball. If you have the ability, use it. Recognize the asterisks of the past, but use it now.
I’ve watched several Spring Training games and recaps of most of the games this season. I haven’t seen much time added to the two games I managed to watch in full (I’m on PTO right now). I have seen several calls reversed correctly. I think it’s working and making the game better.

That is what they are doing in baseball. The replay officials are in NY and they make the call from their monitor view
It's a huge momentum buster and downright pansy in nature.
Sterile? I doubt you can sterilize BB by using a tool which verifies or reverses a questionable call.
As we witnessed in the NFL, professional sports will be more and more politicized. The Superbowl was a rigged game. I don’t believe you can rule out rigging of any sport by way of technology, but these tools help to ensure a fairer game.
We’ve all witnessed juiced games. We’ve all watched game in which the umps were clearly in favor of a particular team.
I want the games to decided by the players performance and not by shady umpires.

There's never even been a credible accusation of such a thing.
Sure, there's been countless bad calls. Probably thousands.
But I have no reason to believe any of them were dirty.
