Chick-fil-A has surpassed KFC as the top chicken fast food chain.
Chick-fil-A's sales in 2013 passed $5 billion, compared with KFC's $4.2 billion, reports Venessa Wong at Bloomberg Businessweek.
Chick-fil-A has 1,775 U.S. stores, while KFC has 4,491. Despite a smaller footprint, Chick-fil-A's average sales are more than triple those of its larger competitor, Wong writes.
And Chick-fil-A achieves these results despite being closed on Sundays for religious reasons.
Wong illustrates a couple of reasons for Chick-fil-A's success.

the CS as these three places is borderline anemic. rarely, and I do mean rarely, are you greeted with a smile or even a look that says glad you're here.
Every time I go to KFC, they piss me off.
The last time I went, the price wound up a couple of dollars higher than I expected. When I asked why, I was told that the drink was not included in the combo, even though the combo is shown on the menu with a drink. No place on the menu board was the fact that the drink was not included indicated.
I paid the bill and drove away, determined never to return. Of course, I wind up going back again, eventually. But every time I do, they pull a stupid trick like that again.
On the plus side, the line for the drive through is always very short...
The KFC service I’ve experienced appeared to be EBT card poster children who seemed annoyed having to work.
Chik-Fil-A service has all been from people who seemed genuinely happy to have a job and be of help.
Ohh, I don't think I could do that diet. I am on a 1350 calorie a day, I have to seriously manage when I go for the Asian Chicken Salad at CFA. 330 calories w/o dressing. You have to watch the dressing, that alone could be another 330, but I have some Bolthouse Farm Blue Cheese dressing at the office that is 35 calories per serving. :-)
KFC is like eating rock salt.
The 2 days is not true fast, 600 cals, and I do Weight Watchers the other 5. Salad dressings can be a killer but I like oil and vinegar.
This^^^
They and KFC have a location near me, within about a half mile of each other. I wave at KFC as I head to CFA, lol.
Write the company and tell em.
These bozos listen.
Because they have a better product and, in my experience, the service is always great.
Kind of a feedback loop, no?
Clientele -> type of employee -> clientele -> type of employee
I see that liberal/gay boycott of CFA is working out great.
Does everyone remember all of the lawsuits filed against Chick Fil A for violating homosexual civil rights???
What, there weren’t any???
But the liberals claimed that this was a horrible corporation with horrible values and a horrible human rights record.
You know the liberals had to be scouring the countryside far and wide, to find some homosexual who could have claimed to be discriminated against by Chick Fil A. This would have tied in neatly with their boycott campaign against Chick Fil A.
The fact that they could find no one to file a lawsuit, speaks volumes to the fact that Chick Fil A observes all laws on the books, including those dealing with discrimination against various types of people.
But, to the liberals, if anyone in your company is personally opposed to homosexual marriage, then your company must be targeted for destruction. I’ve never understood that logic.
CFA has very good chicken patties for sandwiches. I would like to see them upgrade from that simple bun— maybe a seeded roll or whole wheat/rye/sourdough selection. Their bread needs an upgrade in quality but customers service is tops. Also proves a store can be closed on Sunday and still very profitable.
They have a good chicken on biscuit.
CFA is like In-N-Out in some ways. Better quality of food, better service, cleaner, etc. I know that In-N-Out pays its employees more than other fast food chains, I don’t know if CFA does, but it seems so as its employees are always friendly, helpful, and competent. In-N-Out also reflects its owner’s religions beliefs by discretely putting Bible verses on its wrappers.
It must drive the libs crazy that CFA and In-N-Out do so well by treating their employees and customers well, and offering a quality product at a reasonable price.
And say, “my pleasure”. Beats the hell out of “No problem”, which is what you get from most wait staff in restaurants. Well, damn straight it’s no problem, Sparky - it’s what they PAY you for!
And stay off my lawn!
Best taste and biggest pieces belongs to Church’s with Popeyes coming in a close second.

I wonder how much that contrived media anti-chick-fil-a stunt had to do with this success. Not only with conservative people buying food there but conservatives thinking it would be a good first job for their kids. Beats the hell out of letting your kid hang with the Micky D crowd.
CFL - Best Coleslaw ever and they have the best Sausage (Turkey I think) and Egg Breakfast Burrito in town. The Salsa they serve with it is absolutely wonderful.
Last time I did KFC, using a coupon I got in the Mail BTW, I ended up with “stomach” problems.
