This happened to me on SR 41 in Tampa on Monday March 24th. This pathetic excuse for a human being tailgated me for about three minutes. After about a minute, and me shaking my head, I pulled out my phone and started recording. I couldn't move over because there were trucks in the right lane, and I sure as heck wasn't going to speed on a rainy day with the roads being as slick as they were. I was turning left in about a half-mile when this happened. Now bear in mind, that this guy had already passed a truck in a left turn lane, was tailgating and driving recklessly on a wet slick road, wasn't paying attention, and all in all being an ignorant ass. Not once was I mouthing off, I never brake checked him, and in fact until I watched the video after the accident I didn't even know he shot a bird at me because I wasn't looking at him at all, I was paying attention to the road while holding the phone up with my right hand. I've recorded circumstances like this before, catching idiots doing stupid things, but never ever had this happen.
He initially fled the scene of the accident, but thanks to this video he has been caught and charged. Massive props to the Sheriffs Department and most especially the Highway Patrol who responded to the scene. This moron could have easily killed somebody with his moronic behavior, and my laughing at the end would have been replaced with tears. Needless to say though, I've never seen Karma come back so fast.
*****EDITED TO ADD******
WOW! I go to work and come back to over 600,000 views and find it's on theblaze.com and various other media sites. I'm flabbergasted! (love for an excuse to use that word). I'm also a little saddened and shocked at some of the comments. After the umpteenth death threat and billionth time being called a b!#$h/c$%t/whore/slut/add whatever epithet you want... I am extremely amazed at how rude people are.
Apparently people seem to think that they were right there and know exactly what was going on. You weren't there. You don't know what happened other than the truth that I told. And apparently I did get a comment of someone who he had done this same thing to... thank you for that.
I appreciate the comments of those that, even if they disagreed with me, they didn't resort to bullyish behavior, they stated their response and I respect that. To those that wished death upon me, I truly hope your life isn't as miserable as you portray online. Because some of those comments belong to people that belong in a psycho ward, or at the very least, anger management/therapy. They were rude, uncalled for, and just downright mean.
So because of those hateful warmongers, I have disabled all commenting on this video. Have fun talking about me in your forums, and on Reddit, or wherever else you talk smack on. Just know... I won't be there. I think my ears are itching... somebody must be talking about me. Where's my Q-Tip?
Goodbye and have an awesome and amazing rest of your day. I'm gonna go pet my dog, feed my fish, watch some TV, and sit my "fat" self on my sofa ;)
I watched the video. I don’t see anywhere in the video where a speed limit sign is shown. They’re weren’t on the interstate. She might have been doing 50 in a 40 mph zone which wouldn’t make her a left lane sitter. If I’m in the left lane doing 10mph over the limit and that’s still not fast enough for you - then TS. I’m willing to give her the benefit until shown otherwise.
You got the wrong attitude.
“Both drivers are idiots, but somehow most people pick a side.”
She was getting ready to make a LEFT turn.
What’s your advise make a LEFT turn from the right lane?
why the hell not get out of his way?

I know I know, reading the article is too much work.
The driver answered your question in the 3rd sentence of the posted article.
There were vehicles to her right, and she was turning left. The roads were wet, so she intelligently slowed down.
If someone going an appropriate speed for the conditions pisses you off to the extent it did for this driver, you need professional help.
I love it when an idiot wrecks his beautiful vehicle by being an a$$. As long as no one is injured (even the a$$).
She’d been “getting ready” for over three miles by her own admission.
Ditto. Taking her at her word that she wasn’t videoing from the outset, then she had all kinds of time to get out of the way. Both of them were idiots, but the lane blocker instigated the incident.
Speed limit in that area is 55. She probably thinks shes improving traffic safety by using her phone and driving.
In my experience of driving for over 55 years I am a firm believer that as many accident are caused by slow drivers as by speeders. If you don’t feel comfortable driving at prevailing speeds on the highway then stick to two lanes. Mrs. Redangus hasn’t driven on the Interstate for years for just that reason.
It looks like he hit that tree.
For those blaming the woman for blocking the lane, we don't know what the speed limit is on that road. Her shot of the speedometer showed her at close to 60 and she was passing the trucks in the right lane by a pretty good margin. There are houses right next to the road, so I'm guessing the speed limit was probably 45. It certainly wouldn't be 55 in a residential neighborhood such as that. Given that she was likely already in excess of the limit, had to make a left turn shortly and there was much slower traffic in the right lane, it seems justified that she was in the left lane.
DO you all have ANY idea how difficult it is to regain the left lane within a short distance and busy traffic in order to make your necessary left turn if you move to the right for the convenience of the speeding asshats ?
I REALLY wish all you that think you are entitled to push your way to the front of the line in all situations would get smacked down hard!!! Another 30 seconds getting to your destination will be fine.If not, then START EARLIER! Motor Trend or Car and Driver did an experiment in the 80s in which one driver drove the maximum possible and another drove with the traffic on the Autobahn;the speedster arrived a few minutes earlier but tense and sweaty.
One more thing :trucks are supposed to go slower on most roads which makes them into rolling roadblocks in the right lane. And a car sandwiched amongst big trucks cannot see the turnoffs or other traffic until almost too late. This makes getting back out of the right lane for the upcoming left turn even more difficult. Now that is a real issue that should be looked at.
No actuallly she WASN’T getting ready to make a LEFT turn. Read the second sentence of the article again. She had plenty of time to move over.
Also - she had plenty of time to get her cell phone out and record this incident. This (bleep) is at fault.
Hold on...let me get the popcorn.
She had plenty of chances to move into the RH lane to allow him to pass legally and didn’t...the guy closed and backed off numerous times...trying to get his point across, she ignored it.
His lack of control and anger at her control freak issues caused the crash...
Not much in the way of sympathy for either driver...she’s a control freak and he has anger management issues...both should be refered to psychiatrist.
If that's true, then I would retract my comment and agree that she's partly to blame for this incident too...
This beyotch went looking to create a problem. And boy did she.

Yea, she caused the guy to tailgate. She made the guy drive along side her and flip her off. She made the guy spin out and wreck his truck.
At worst she’s inconsiderate. At best, the guy who wrecked his truck is a flipping idiot with serious anger management issues.
I laughed out loud watching the video.
I drive that road frequently. Its 55 there. You get plenty of left lane campers.
Yes, both are idiots, but the guy in the truck was the bigger idiot. The right lane was blocked by another vehicle, the driver/camera operator was in the left lane anticipating an upcoming left turn. She had enough time to slow down a bit, move in behind the lone truck blocking the right lane, and let the guy with the big truck and little pecker go right on by, or she could have sped up just slightly, and got in front of the truck and moved over. There was really no one else on the road in the immediate area but those three vehicles.
The pickup owner was so much more important than she was he had to prove it, to his detriment. Good luck explaining that to your insurance company.
How did she get such good quality video while driving. By focusing more on the phone then driving.
You can see his headlights, thats not tailgating.

I agree. I’ve never felt the need to record other people driving yet she states she has done it numerous times. Why? Is she a magnet for angry drivers? Would that suggest there’s something about her driving habits that causes a lot of anger around her?
