I’ve got a bad feeling that those in charge of making sure children getting the right parents are negligent in their duties. Some years ago we (FD) tried to get CPS to launch an investigation regarding a kid in the home of 2 lesbians. We were out there frequently due to one of them’s cocaine abuse. She was serious enough to have bad multiple heart attacks and was in her early 30’s.
CPS would not touch it because they were lesbians by their own admission.
