At the risk of being flamed, a lot of men create a lot of baggage for themselves when they sleep around and it ends up being one big mess.

Flamed? Not at all. You just need to be told in the gentlest terms possible that you don't have the slightest idea what you're talking about.

Seriously, though, you're right in that people shouldn't be sleeping around like they are. It's unhealthy in every way. However, the main thing to consider is that the nature of men hasn't changed, in that they always wanted to sleep around throughout history, but few had that luxury.

What has changed is women. Women now give that stuff away like it's week old bread at the Wonderbread factory. They can't give it away fast enough and to enough guys. What convinced them to do that? FEMINISM. Well, and all of the other ridiculous "isms" that have taken root in our society largely since the doped-out hippies of the sixties became hell-bent on defecating on every single cultural value that made Western civilization possible. It didn't start with them, but they were the first generation to embrace it wholeheartedly.

So now we have culture where a young girl's greatest aspiration is to be a whore just like the girls she sees on TV. Miley Cyrus is the role model. You want a good laugh (or good cry, depending on your perspective)? Go look up "Belle Knox interview" where you'll be delighted by the grand intellectualism of a young girl who decided to go into humiliation porn in order to empower women and promote feminism. Then you'll begin to understand where all this madness has come from.

2. Rarely are they pushy.
3. They know when to allow someone else in the conversation.

6. Their social skills are finely honed.

Just my opinion from living in Texas over 30 years, and lucky enough to have snared a Texas girl to be my wife (over 25 years).

No problems on my end. If more guys got smarter they would have fewer problems with the low-grade women they keep meeting.

Why would any man want to marry an overused woman who might have decided her sleep-around years were over?

You have a large number of women chasing the same small group of guys they find "desirable". The women get used and dropped (why think of commitment when you have multiple women chasing you? Just move on to the next younger, fresher candidate when the current one makes commitment noises).

The "desirable" guys have fun. The "nice-but-not-rich/handsome/exciting-enough" guys experience lack of success in their 20's, until women hitting 35 decide to "settle". Many men say "no thanks" to accepting a high-mileage woman who will never really be satisfied with him anyway.

I wish men would stop the superficiality. I have a beautiful overweight daughter who would probably be any man’s dreamboat wife, she is intelligent, attractive, funny, devoted, kind and beautiful both inside and out.

How fat are we talking? I don't mind a little extra weight on a woman, but once you go from "pleasingly plump" to "gross obesity" then we've gone from "a girl with a bit of a weight problem" to "a girl with some serious mental health issues". I've seen people so obese that they are effectively disabled, and it blows my mind. These are people who have willingly chosen to be disabled. THAT is a mental health issue, and even if such people lost the weight, they would still be problem children who most likely could not maintain their end of a relationship.

Let me ask you this: what would you think of an unemployed guy who dressed all the time like a slob, never shaved, and had a big beer belly? Would you want him for your daughter? Would your daughter want him? Probably not, because it would demonstrate some character flaws that would likely translate into relationship problems, or unreliability with regard to child-rearing and what-not. Same with your daughter. Why can't she lose the weight? Is she lazy? Does she have a sense of entitlement that says "I should be able to be as fat and nasty as I want and fit, attractive, successful men should still love me!"? If so, then she is unfit for a relationship until she gets her stuff together, and men instinctively realize that.

Encourage your daughter to get healthy. Not only will she have her pick of men, but she'll have a better life with or without them and she'll be happier.

Seems to have been the case for quite a while now. The trouble for women of this turn of mind is that when they are in their early thirties and beginning to get twinges of settling down they find that men their age are more interested in hooking up with twenty-somethings.

LOL. The only men that have to beg women for sex these days are the ones who aren't going to get it anyway. I've always been a bit of a traditional guy when it comes to the whole dating thing, and I've been shocked at the number of women who have thrown themselves at me, to include married women. At first it's flattering, and then you realize that this woman, as nice as you thought she was a minute ago, is a bit of a whore, and then another little piece of your romanticism dies.

Unfortunately nice & respectable has been corrupted into meaning boring and wimpish by too many women...until they hit their 30s and all of a sudden the thugs and bad boys dont want to buy them drinks anymore or just see them as an easy take-to-bed.

Then they want those guys to think they are moral and wholesome.
