Considering most come from Mexico or CA I don’t get it.
Their guacamole is really good. What I always notice at Chipotles is that every employee is Hispanic.
“Thanks for posting. I can add another left wing “cult” restaurant to my list to avoid.”

The one I go too has a mix of people but Hispanics are the majority of employees
Which is fine by me....I don’t care what color you are as long as you are here in this country legally...
“I thought avocados liked warm weather.”
We love avocados, in fact some of our Yankee relatives, say we are addicted to them.
Last year, we thought about planting some trees on about a half acre.
We were told by the plant nursery, that the avocados couldn’t tolerate hard freezes. Also, the deer love them.
Good advice as we went into a couple of weeks of low temps in the teens at night. Also, our local deer herd has doubled in size.
Every business claims green BS in connection with their products and wrappers.
I gather that avocado prices have not gone up due to GW, so they are just playing games with their customers. If prices do go up for any reason they will raise their prices.
Of course taxes and Obamacare are causing real price increases but if they say that leftist brown shirts will put them out of business.
thanks....
Very welcome
I feel the same way, but could imagine the liberal outrage if the employees were all white.
This is "climate change", not warming. So the cold blasts we are having may affect the avocado market.
I don’t know if this adds anything to the conversation.
Along I-15 from Escondido to Temecula in soCal they call the freeway, the Avocado Hwy.
A few years ago 20,000 tress were burned in a wildfire. I don’t think they missed much of a beat getting product to market.
However, the water rates were increased significantly. I see a lot of groves and properties with trees on the market for sale.
I recently, sold a property with about 75 tress. Th buyers are having the trees removed.
I think Mexico is the other source.
I notice I still get avocado on dishes in Mexican restaurants and dip offered as well. Didn’t notice price in creases passed along.
I haven’t seen the avocado market affected in restaurants by me in Texas. YEARS ago (maybe a decade?) there was a tomato “shortage” that resulted in salso and pico only being offered on demand.
I lived in Sacramento near the Campbells tomato soup place on Franklin near Hwy 99, since closed down. You could see tomatoes along the freeway when the trucks were rolling.
I should have sent you some!
