Adam Driver is ready to travel to a galaxy far, far, away.
Sources tell Variety that while no deal is done yet, the Girls actor is close to signing on to play the villain in J.J. Abrams Star Wars: Episode VII. Exact details are unknown, but the character is said to be in the vein of iconic Star Wars villain Darth Vader.
Driver, 30, is the first cast member to be revealed for Walt Disney Studios and Lucasfilms highly-anticipated Star Wars installment, which will open in theaters on Dec. 18, 2015.

Well, if they can fit a Vader mask over his ears, maybe.

as long as he keeps his mask on, the movie will be rated PG-13.
His new movie name should be Dorkth Vader.

Not all villains have to be imposing. Some dorky looking people are evil incarnate.

Looking at him he could be Jacen Solo (Darth Cadeus)

digital magic and prosthetics can work wonders. If memory serves, the bad guy in the book after "Return of the Jedi" (Volume VII???) is physically unimposing, with blue-green skin. "Grand Admiral Thrawn" was his name.
Who knows what Disney will do to the franchise, though. IIRC, a couple of characters in the final trilogy were interesting, but the stories were pretty bad. We will see what Disney bases the next movies on.

I don’t know about Star Wars, but if they ever remake Mayberry RFD he’d make a perfect Barney Fife. :)

Actually, the first book (chronologically) after Ep. VI was some lizard-men out in the outer edges of the Empire. Thrawn was introduced a short time after that.
But I doubt they'll follow the book universe too closely, That'll probably have issues with copyright vs the book authors/publishers (even though Star Wars licensed?) maybe? I just can't really see them following an already written story.

Never watched "Girls". I tried to watch an episode. It is a self-centered, insipid, narcissistic piece of drivel.
You are not missing a thing by not watching and from just seeing the two episodes I did view the person in this article will ensure I do not go see the final three Star Wars films, which is a shame as I was a young man in the Air force when the original movie came out and I loved it.
To: Boogieman
He looks about as imposing as this guy.
