FULL TITLE: The moment woman jogger in headphones is knocked to the floor and handcuffed by cops because she didn't hear when they tried to ticket her for jaywalking
A female jogger out for a run in Austin, Texas, Thursday was arrested, handcuffed and hauled into a police cruiser screaming and in tears for allegedly failing to identify herself.
The entire incident was caught on video recorded by Chris Quintero, a student at University of Texas who was sitting in a cafe across the street and witnessed the woman being taken into custody.
The arrest took place just before 11am outside a fast-food eatery near the intersection of 24th Street and San Antonio Street in Austin.

She is very fortunate that the Austin Cops didn’t shoot her. They have a bad habit of doing that.
There is no law that requires you to have to have ID on you at all times.
****************
Agree. But she was asked her name and she refused to comply until she was put
in the police car. At that time she gave her name.
Her first and second mistakes were living in austin and going to that college.
Don’t give them any ideas....
She shouldn’t have run! Same ole reason. Do I need a sarc tag?
Should have said she’s an illegal, cops would have let her go.
Bingo! Truer words were never spoken. Austin is a terrible place to live, and it’s getting worse every year as Kalifornians fee their Marxist breeding ground.
Heaven help you if you expect the police to obey the same laws they enforce on you. The worship of authority [the State] and those in positions of authority [agents of the State] runs deep and appears to be getting deeper on this forum.
Got it...
The other side of the coin, as put forth by one of the commenters:
In this area there are over 100K students and traffic problems are constant. Pedestrians (mostly students) show no regard for any laws and navigating around is a royal pain and makes driving in that area a complete nightmare. There are complaints made and without them our police have to deal with them. No regard for laws, no respect for drivers and all seem to be completely above the law. Not 24 hours after this recording a student was killed by a bus while jaywalking in the early hours of morning. They literally do not care where they go and how they do it and it’s a chronic problem.
So let me see if I got this right...you are NOT required to show an ID to vote

In Texas you are required to show a Photo ID.
The police officer grabbed her hand from behind. She pushed his hand away. That is not refusing to stop. If a person had grabbed my hand from behind, my first instinct would be to immediately turn around and kick him/her in their privates. You don’t do that to a person without expecting a physical reaction.
It’s called self-defense.
True.
She was arrested for "failure to identify."
Your papers citizen!
thanks
lol
Horrible crimes indeed!!
Colors are backward. Red is Communist.
