Remember that video of the plane crash in Hawaii after which Hawaii Health Director Loretta Fuddy "died"?

You need to take a closer look.

Am I a total idiot? I am thinking the face in all these pics, in the middle of the shots, is Fuddy? I can’t be sure, but I thought Butter was. Plus in shot 19 you can see her face shape and that her hair, though sodden, is curly. Which it was, in the pre boarding shot.

Are you thinking this was someone else?

The big forehead has a male looking receding hairline and is only ever in the bottom right of the shots, and he could well be Yamamoto.

I don’t see a third person. I do see more yellow like in her middle section, but that looks too far from Yamamoto to be his. I guess maybe she could be clutching a flotation device that is yellow? Don’t know.

I can see what is in front of my face. Have you ever watched some one you love go scuba diving?

You get a good eye for seeing them pop up.

This was a scuba diver and Fuddy saw it, too. She probably thought they were there to help.

What is the red thing with the yellow on top of it, sort of over Fuddy and most visible on the right side of the shot, the left side of Fuddy? Was she in a life preserver inflatable RING?

Also, in pics 7 and 8, what I don’t understand is the “balloon tie” or butthole (sorry) effect on what I thought were her pants right at the top of her foot?? Even if she tucked her pants into her socks, they would “balloon” higher up the ankle? Especially since her socks were not the short short variety as seen in the pre boarding photo with the chubby man. They were ankle length socks. Anyone figure that out?

No matter how many times I study these I never see a diver. It’s far more likely to my eyes that the black things are Fuddy. But what are the red/yellow stuff over her?

Omg! You found her shoes! Did she own a pair of these, we need to know!? I thought it was socks but these shoes have such “soft composed” form on the bottom that they give off that soft appearance, and the photo is bad quality under these conditions. But all the marks are the same so I would think it could be highly likely she was wearing these.

Fuddy was wearing black trousers and BLACK SHOES.

The only indication of a third person in any of the shots is the portion of a lifejacket on the right...it drifts away, then there is one person clearly shown, that’s Yamamoto...and the second lifejacket has to be Fuddy, but in some of the early images in the sequence, her head/face are not visible. The way she’s wearing that jacket is all wrong, it’s not keeping her head out of the water.
Then, as we are trying to work out who owns what appears to be a trouser leg and yellow/green sole of a shoe, I look again, and can’t make up my mind if I’m looking at her head slumped with her face in the water...but another look shows that it’s possible her face is nearer to Yamamoto’s chest and he’s holding her, and maybe it’s HIS black trousers and yellow/green shoes we see.
The angles are difficult.
But first and foremost, the person whose head and face you see with the head upright, is Yamamoto.

If it’s not, I’m eating crow until the cows come home.

Image 19. Yamamoto, and he's still holding something, but if that's Fuddy with that jacket not keeping her head out of the water as it should, her face isn't visible. And as she was apparently wearing black shoes, if that is a shoe you see, it must belong to Yamamoto.

I know enough about diving to know that a diver wouldn’t slip out of his tank or re-breather if he was tasked ... look at #7 and compare it to #19. If the yellow is a tank or re-breather, the ‘diver’ is no long attached from one frame to the other. The yellow is the sole of someone’s shoe. I took my frst dive at 19, in a swimming pool. The next attempt was off Zuma Beach. I lost some equipment trying to get through the breakers. I’m 68. I know enough to know there is no diver shown in those images.

From the images that Ray76 posted at 137, I see a person floating in the water. From the angle of the life vest on the person that is next to Fuddy (?) and the fact their head is hidden by the vest, I would say you are seeing the bottom of the vest and the person is floating on their back with their shoes and legs bobbing in the water.

...you haven't spent a lot of time in or on the water, have you? Ever fall into a river with your elastic-bottom track-suit pants on? The trouser leg blows up, the air wants to get out.

I can't see clearly enough to reply to your question, it simply looks like she's hasn't got her lifejacket done up, and if she passed out before it could be fastened, it might have been a little difficult for Yamamoto to do that after, so he just held onto her.

As no red blooded woman, no matter how old or overweight she might be, would wear yellow/green sports shoes with black trousers and a purple shirt with a white/purple-print jacket, I think it's safe to assume the shoes belong to Yamamoto.

Funny sidebar. The shoes I posted the URL to, you can buy them in Honolulu for $ 395, and the name of the style just happens to be Yamamoto.

If the vest was being worn correctly, yes. But it couldn't have been, because you can't see her head/face. However, Yamamoto IS floating with his face and head showing because his jacket is correctly inflated and fastened. Thus, the leg or legs and shoe you see are more likely to belong to him. Not that it matters whose they are. You've got four potential legs and shoes to play with, before there's a diver. Just IMHO.

There is a diver and the “shoe” isn’t her shoe....anyone who has spent any time in the ocean knows that if you are fully clothed, with shoes on...your shoes weigh you down and they don’t float!

If you are so adept at diving why don’t you wear Air Jordans when scuba diving. I’ll tell you why. Because it makes no sense and they don’t float.

I don’t know whose tennis shoe (if it even is a tennis shoe) that is but I know that woman saw a diver come up out of the water. Now she’s dead. Go figure.

Fuddy was wearing black trousers and BLACK SHOES.

Ok, I have to examine again because if those aren't her feet in the shots, especially pic 19, I don't understand what I am looking at.

I can't get it, I just can't. Go to pic 19 and tell me how feet with their soles to the camera do not belong to that face in the middle of the shot.

The only indication of a third person in any of the shots is the portion of a lifejacket on the right...it drifts away, then there is one person clearly shown, that’s Yamamoto..

Tell me exactly in which numbered shot unsee this portion of a life jacket on the right that drifts away. I can't connect Y's forehead with any of the yellow.

.and the second lifejacket has to be Fuddy, but in some of the early images in the sequence, her head/face are not visible. The way she’s wearing that jacket is all wrong, it’s not keeping her head out of the water.

Are you saying that the face in the middle of every one of these photos, upright, is Not Fuddy?? That this is Yamamoto or someone else? I thought Yamamoto was the forehead in the right bottom that is never fully seen.

The angles are difficult. But first and foremost, the person whose head and face you see with the head upright, is Yamamoto.

Oy vey. I've been wrong all along. Going back to the photos. My toddler took a late nap so I might have to be up til 1 anyway, lol.

Um, if sneakers don’t float how is it that those sneakers with feet still in them are washing up on NorthWestern beaches, just the foot and some ankle, still in sneakers. I suspect you haven’t a clue. Have nice day

...you haven't spent a lot of time in or on the water, have you? Ever fall into a river with your elastic-bottom track-suit pants on? The trouser leg blows up, the air wants to get out.

I saw what Fuddy had been wearing and they were probably jersey black pants, not with elastic ankles. However, since you have shown me that wasn't Fuddy, I suppose Yama may have had those kind of track pants on. But while I know cloth balloons with air in it, it isn't the "ballooning up" that I was pointing out. It is the detailed TIGHTNESS as in a BALLOON KNOT, or the other body part I mentioned, that is strikingly weird for pants legs. What was that, pic 9? Do you see that tight knot like area?

I can't see clearly enough to reply to your question, it simply looks like she's hasn't got her lifejacket done up, and if she passed out before it could be fastened, it might have been a little difficult for Yamamoto to do that after, so he just held onto her.

I need to re-examine the photos if she is not that main person. I do remember him saying he was holding her hand, not holding her up completely. Why simply hold the hand of a woman with her head under water? That would be useless.

As no red blooded woman, no matter how old or overweight she might be, would wear yellow/green sports shoes with black trousers and a purple shirt with a white/purple-print jacket, I think it's safe to assume the shoes belong to Yamamoto.

. You could have a point here. Will post again after I study.

Funny sidebar. The shoes I posted the URL to, you can buy them in Honolulu for $ 395, and the name of the style just happens to be Yamamoto.

It could be the reason for him buying them, as a joke.

well, didn’t take you too long to show that you really don’t have a clue! BTW, jenius, when I was still diving, I wore footies inside my ‘flippers’, to reduce chaffing. When I snorkel I wear an old pair of Beta Bullets ... very lightweight tennis shoes, to prevent cuts and scrapes on bottom. People throw all sorts of crap into the waters which tend to settle under a fine layer of silt that is easy to cut your feet or hands on.
