I don’t see why you can’t do both. Hoffman was a great actor, especially for his age. Doesn’t mean we don’t properly honor military people or condone heroine. Those of us who watch movies know that he was an exceptional talent.
This loser completely crapped on his “partner” and kids. I don’t care how good an actor he was.
Some nutcase goes and shoots up a theatre or a school and here they all come, shouting from the mountaintops for “gun control”
But as another of their own falls dead from drugs, nary a peep in favor of a war on drugs
Shhh....(we’re winning the war on the Afghanistan poppy fields). /s
Well Baraq and Moosechelle weren’t at Sochi, so why didn’t they attend?
He’s just another Hollywood junkie....
.
heroin deaths cause me much pain
anyone got a hydrocodone
Outside of Amy Adams, who I like even though I don't know her politics, this crew of dips seem like a cast of Liberals' Who's Who.
If he had drank himself to death, would the NYC Cops have arrested a bunch of bartenders?
Were any of these people seen at Chris Kyle's Memorial service at Cowboys Stadium?
The who’s who of dysfunction, gathers again at a red carpet memorial to honor and glamorize a fallen comrade.

Are supposed to celebrate a dead drug addict as if he were an upstanding moral example of American exceptionalism?
I am sure that if I looked, it would not be too difficult to find a funeral that was held on Friday for a Godly individual who lived a life that was truly worthy of celebrating as we mourn their passing.
So why do we continue to celebrate the worst of our society instead of the best?
I guess no one cars if John Joe Christian died of natural causes after contributing his life to Christ, family and country because he did so in the obscurity of his little circle of friends and family.
And the spiral down into the depths of depravity continue for this once great country God had shed His grace upon.
We celebrate an actor, a person who reads texts others wrote and pretends to be others, a junkie who once played a famous fag! I get it now!
The pics of the actors that showed up, what a scruffy looking bunch they were.

Maybe Mayor Bloomberg should have spent his money on trying to control heroin dealers in his city instead of guns in the rest of the country.
I don’t think that honoring a comrade who died prematurely is about condoning the manner of his death. Lots of jazz musicians died the same way. It doesn’t lessen the value of their contributions to music. Karen Carpenter’s death from anorexia was also self inflicted, but nonetheless tragic.
This is how sick and twisted this segment of our culture has become.
