The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) are certain about one thing, even though they do not acknowledge that Bigfoot is real: It is just as unethical to kill a Sasquatch as it would be any other animal. In a report posted by the CBS Houston on Jan. 30, the animal rights activists reacted to the idea much as expected, because to members of their organization, shooting and killing a living creature, whether it be for food or sport, is an atrocity.
PETA spokesperson Lindsay Rajt told The Houston Chronicle: As an organization we do oppose hunting of any kind. Its cruel and unnecessary and can damage populations and ecosystems.
Rajt spoke out against the shooting of the legendary Bigfoot creature in the wake of news that self-proclaimed "Master Tracker" Rick Dyer is going on the road to show of the Bigfoot he supposedly shot and killed outside San Antonio, Texas, in late 2012. Dyer says he will tour North America, carting the Sasquatch carcass from town to town to prove that Bigfoot does exist and that he actually killed one.
Dyer has already released several photos of the hairy beast he claims to have killed. Although many are putting it down as just another hoax, Dyer says it is his redemption (Dyer is most famous for having a hand in the 2008 Georgia Bigfoot Hoax) and has even challenged the Spike TV series "The 10 Million Dollar Bigfoot Bounty" to pay up.
The bottom line is, when someone sees a rare, exotic animal their first instinct shouldnt be to shoot and kill it, Rajt said . Just because you see something pretty, that doesnt mean it should be mounted on your wall.

PETA, take that message to Planned Parenthood.

“Do you have any idea how HARD it is to fake a LIVE Bigfoot?”
Just ask the cast of “Not Finding Bigfoot”.
Shoot unicorns? Most people just want to knock my teeth out.
You know that a lefty organization needs attention when they’re commenting on something as stupid as this. Gees, It never crossed my mind that if I ran into “Bigfoot” that it would be unethical to shoot it, him, or whatever gender the beast is. Lord, we’re a sorry people if this is an actual issue.
“I gonna hold out and just wait for my opportunity to shoot a two-fer.”
She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed probably won’t let you take either one to the taxidermist.
Just a guess, though.

Wassa matter, Thackney - Moosechelle won’t appear in the role of BigFoot for you?

You might want to re-think shooting at ETs for your own sake. Since any ET here would have mastered inter-planetary space travel, they are going to have a major technology advantage over you. Don't tick them off.
tastes like chicken
How many animals have PETA killed...just becasue they could?
Shooting a Bigfoot and having scientists look the thing over might be the best way to save them. Still, I don’t think we need to worry—as Bigfoot is one of three things:
1. A myth-—or-—mistaken men and bears.
2. A creature from a UFO or Other Demention.
3. A highly evolved human offshoot with psychic powers—who can control men’s minds—so they will never be caught or shot.
“I shoot the Easter Bunny? What about unicorns? Are they off limits too?”
When is PETA season?
I don’t think is related to humans, I think that Bigfoot is a living example of a thought to be extinct gigantic ape. Did you know that there once existed a gigantic ape, Gigantopithecus, that stood some 10 feet tall? Scientists debate on whether it was bipedal or walked on its knuckles as gorillas do today.

It lived in Asia and could have used the same land bridge that the ancestors of American Indians used to cross into North America. “Mainstream scientists” believe that the giant ape species died out some 100,000 years ago. Just as they once believed that the coelacanth, a five foot long primitive fish, died out 60 million years ago, until it was discovered to be still living in 1938.
Backwoods Engineer to PETA: God told me I can kill and eat animals. I do so, and give thanks as I eat them. Tasty.
Don’t like it? Take it up with God.
Not a peep out of PETA about this though:
