New York governor Andrew Cuomo came under fire for criticizing pro-life and pro-Second Amendment citizens of his state -- and saying "that is not who New Yorkers are."
Their problem is not me and democrats, their problem is themselves. Who are they? Are they these extreme conservatives, who are right to life, pro assault weapon, anti-gay, is that who they are? Because if that is who they are, and if they are the extreme conservatives, they have no place in the state of New York. Because that is not who New Yorkers are.
Now his office is backtracking and insisting that the governor said "'it is fine' to be anti-gun control, and anti-choice as he respects both positions."
And they're attacking the New York Post for highlighting Cuomo's extreme comments. "The Post can allow any person they want to publish in their paper but if they are to retain any credibility they cannot be entirely reckless with facts and the truth."

As long is you aren’t in his kingdom.
Cuomo is one of those rare characters....who would never carry any state outside of NY. His speeches are mostly one-star, and I can’t think of any original concepts that he’s ever come up with. If you had to pick an absolute loser of a guy to go national (besides Christie).....this is the guy.
The newspaper made me say it. How lame is that. What a douchy doucherson.
I think we need a tax-payer Constitutional Amendment. It should address situations where people reside in one jurisdction and work in another and are subjected to INCOME tax in the area in which they reside. THOSE people should be allowed ot vote in BOTH jurisdictions. New York City is full of commuters who truck into the Rotten Apple every day, work their butts off, and then go home. They pay taxes in both places.
If they were allowed to VOTE in both places, the social maggots who live in these blighted urban areas would fine their votes CANCELLED by working people who would vote out Demogogues like Cuomo and DeBlasio.

Bull. Liberals will tell you who they are, just so long as you listen. Cuomo just told New Yorkers what they should already know. The left doesn’t respect the views of the right, when it comes to the 2nd amendment and abortion.
Given enough time in power, the left will silence you. Tolerance is not one of the left’s virtues, (if they have any at all).
I sense he may have hired Tawana Brawley as his press secretary!
Governor Cuomo probably thought, as a Democrat, he would get a pass from the media since they are of like minds. Guess you were wrong Andrew. It looks like somebody wants to run for president and now he’s in CYA mode.
Interesting that his apologies now say he didn’t mean to attack people who are “anti-choice,” but his actual attack focused on people who are “right-to-life.”
Guess he didn’t want to call attention to that original phrasing, which was even worse and more revealing.
You don’t think he has Oval Office Dreams? I know I would never vote for him?
Why doesn’t he ban MuslimS from NYC- they’re violently anti-gay and female rights...
Is this supposed to be a “kerryesque” backtrack/apology? You know the one. “I’m sorry that you aren’t intelligent enough to understand what I said.” “The reporter misquoted me.” “The reporter wrote it out of context.” “I never said THAT.” “We welcome all types of people and their ideas here.”
I do not need Cuomo to interpret for me what he said. Cuomo is just another tin-horn socialist dictator wannabe. his mouth outran his ability to hide his true self in this instance.
Scumbag.
Yes, but it’s not “fine” to be a tyrant.
Sic semper tyrannis
To these people, NY state is NYC (and it’s immediate suburbs), Ithaca and downtown Buffalo. The rest of the state does not exist.
New York of 2014 sounds an awful lot like Germany of the 1930’s.
