For the love of everything ever, it’s January.
Easter is in April this year and we haven’t even hit Valentine’s Day. But the retail calendar works a little differently these days. Behold the Easter candy displays:
I think it's a little early for the Easter candy display don't ya think ? #easter http://t.co/zdsDF3Rm6L—

Yes, we do.
Good grief, that's ridiculous. It's practically in May this year RT @bccohan: CVS already has Easter candy out?!? http://t.co/JOyeM1hbDP—

NO, NO, NO! Its still a month until Valentine's Day. I do not accept Easter candy being sold! http://t.co/7AffkQ7GtR—
Danielle (@NY_dee) January 15, 2014
Surely this should not be allowed! Easter candy sales already? http://t.co/8MNKWxTHic—
Kay or Ari (@kayakaari) January 10, 2014
Some stores didn’t even wait until January.
Now I think CVS is just trolling me. They put out the Easter candy two days after Christmas! http://t.co/stWsRfYVSZ—

Oh good, they got the Easter candy out. I was worried they might put that out too early this year. 😬 http://t.co/u9vKPdMGyn—

December? Come on.
From what I understand. Peeps connoisseurs prefer them stale. Ugh.
If people don’t like capitalism TOUGH. Stores can do as they please. So sick of cry babies. If they don’t like it, open their own dang store. I will agree that before Valentine’s Day is interesting but I guess they will sell both for awhile.
Horrid timing. I always wonder who makes these arrangements, probably single guys who never dated. lol.
You have a walmart?
In my area, this is always a slow month, because property taxes are due 1/31.
That is really weird. Ours are due in July.
I could see myself buying PEEPS and eating them way before Easter which results in me having to buy more and more and more and more ..rinse and repeat.
Of my very own. Doesn’t everyone?
Bill. He’s 19. He was a wreck after the Outer Banks Marathon, Veterans’ Day weekend, but he’s been training more in the last couple of months. I deduce that his mysterious girlfriend, Rachel, likes him to be fit.
Runners are in their own universe. My family is a little funny about holidays. My mother’s birthday is May 4, and my father’s is June 4. We always celebrated their birthdays instead of Mother’s Day or Father’s Day. Their birthdays are personal, after all.
Our anniversary is February 4, so we recognize that instead of Valentine’s Day, because it’s personal.
If Easter wasn’t such a big deal in the Church, we’d end up just celebrating birthdays then, too: Anoreth on March 27, Sally on March 30, Elen on April 2, and Bill on April 6.
That’s very interesting, thanks.
Bad trade.
You can’t buy wine at a bridge!
Are the Peeps on the shelf? Wait til I tell Mr. GG2. :-)
Samuel Adams knew what the weather was, and it wasn’t any “Spring Thaw” in January!
My first thought too
Gotta satisfy that peeps craving youve been waiting so long for...

Not any more. The people who make the Peeps got very clever a few years ago, and you can now find their products for all sorts of holidays, as, I have seen snowmen, hearts, and Halloween pumpkins made out of whatever that marshmallow stuff is.
There was a narrow column of Christmas items up at the end of September in place as they started to fill the aisles for Halloween.
Retailers are desperate for sales, so they latch onto any holiday that can generate income.
Ok, I guess I get buying the Peeps.... but I would not like them stale.
I saw Reese’s and Cadbury eggs in the grocery on New Year’s Day. Valentine’s were out the day after Christmas.
