Yet if Planned Parenthood had told her to "give birth" to the child in a hotel toilet during an abortion process that is okay?

She should get the same fate.

She should be in prison until she is well past the ability to give birth, + 100 years.

If they threaten her with lethal injection, her defense attorney might try calling Peter Singer (of "post-birth abortion might be ethical" fame). After all, anything to save his client's life, right?
If the jury agrees, this case could give our culture yet another shove down the chute.

Postpartum Depression could be the cause. Don't rush to judgment on her yet. Seventy to eighty percent of women suffer from this in the first several weeks after delivery. Some make it through with help from family and friends and some don't. Take that lady in Texas that drowned her five kids after giving birth that her husband was told not to get her pregnant again.

From the article, it is believed she gave birth at a hospital under an assumed name. She could have simply walked out of the hospital and surrendered the child for adoption. This isn’t a young girl who was stupid and afraid.. this is a 25 year old woman. There are social workers employed at hospitals. All she had to do is walk out alone OR tell her nurse she wanted to surrender the baby. I hope she rots in jail.

This is heartbreaking! I was never able to have a child so we adopted 3 infants that other people didn’t want. Someone would have been just as delighted to take this child as I was to take mine. I’m too old now or I would take another one.

And even in Texas she is not likely to be executed because she is female. (Notice I wrote “female” and not “a woman”. Too many people do not realize there is a difference and most juries in capital cases have a least one person who does not see the difference.)

Sadly a lot of San Antonio people truly love the abortion option.

I would think a San Antonio jury would be symathetic to the “poor” woman.

Things like that was so common in former Soviet Union since about 1970s that their courts seized to view it as murder and felony in general. Average punishment is up to 2 years suspended term to this day in Russia.
