NFL Postseason Schedule - 2013

Lots of chatter about maybe the Bears switching to a 3-4 defense. (I believe they're the only team that's never used a 3-4). I doubt it happens though.
In other Chi sports news the Cubs have introduced a totally queero new mascot, Clark the Cub.
The furry little bastard is already tweeting and possibly hosting NAMBLA meetings in his apartment (google "Pedobear", this guy is his cousin). This will show that Jap pitcher they're after that they're serious about winning.
“I doubt this was the Trestman’s call, more like the GM.”
Then perhaps, just perhaps, I overrated the TRESTMAN’S! power...
Agree: The CHC mascot is queero; looks like Theo & the Gang are trying to relive the ole Boston days (”Wally the Green Monster”).
OTOH, with the Japanese penchant for amine, Masahiro Tanaka just might be impressed by the CHC “effort”...
My point back would be you could say that about any and every game. I have seen some games where a bad call made the difference for a team, it happens, and that's a shame when it does. In this case, it's more than hard to say a call made the difference, 21 points being no where near close enough to make your thesis as true.
Officiating isn't perfect, it's very difficult to get it right all the time in real time, these are games played at lightning speed with incredible athletes. It's amazing the officiating gets it right the vast majority of the time.
That the NFL is happy is irrelevant. The NFL surely would like to have Manning win this coming week as a huge come back story for a great player, do you think the officials knows this, has their orders and will give them the breaks?
I’d rather have the imperfections and get rid of replay, it’s a real power down after a play knowing that it’s going to be another five minutes reviewing the play.
At this point, and this is not a studied opinion at all, I'd rather them find a way to make it a quicker ruling, because some times the call is simply (and obviously) wrong and ought to be reversed upon further review. Tis a conundrum.
Supposedly, the NFL is considering moving all replays to the NFL offices in NYC; in theory that should quicken the reply process.
And I have to agree with Bill Belicheat; ALL plays (especially the ridiculous PI calls) should be reviewable.
Hockey does that, and it’s a better system, so I agree with that as a start. I still think they need to have a limit on time for the review. If it’s that close the call needs to stand and they move on without interrupting the flow of the game so much.
Weird.
Agreed.
Interesting...
Great flick!
Oh, I also had Howard Zinn for two of my course...........he helped my slow road to conservatism.
Excellent!!!
Somehow I think the 49ers twelfth m e an (man) will be afraid of the Hawks fans.........
If the Hawks win, they have to go play in the cold. That may bring them down to the equivalent of 9 or 10 men.......no home advantage, plus a weather environment that they aren't comfortable with.
He also had the most beautiful coeds following him like groupies. It was said they all got A's from him, I can't imagine how they got such good grades......:-)
So be it. If they make it to the Super Bowl, all I ask for is a clean game with fair and equal officiating.
Unlike last time.
That’s a good thing to hope for.
I think the best solution is to get rid of replays and challenges and simply have a video reviewer who can overturn rulings on the field on the spot.
I could see it working something like this....on the field there will be an indicator, a green light indicates that the play will stand....and if the video official in the booth wants to review something the light will turn yellow, and play stops until the video official either confirms the play or overrules. But there should be a time limit of 15 seconds, if the video reviewer cannot find grounds to overrule in that amount of time, the play stands as called.
And with regards to penalties, in the time the officials are conferring on the field, the video official can be reviewing the play to see if indeed the penalty was warranted.
Sounds logical to me.
“I can’t imagine how they got such good grades......:-)”
Indeed.
