AUGUSTA, GA. The angels will not be heard on high, nor will the little Lord Jesus sleep in heavenly peace at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center.
The Augusta hospital announced Monday that it's taking a stricter stance on its policy banning carolers from singing religious Christmas music in public patient areas.
Last week, the facility prevented a group of high school students from Augusta's Alleluia Community School from singing to its veterans a number of traditional holiday tunes that honor and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, such as Silent Night and O Come All Ye Faithful.

This is a disgrace.
Which everyone will forget about before the next election.
I’m not so sure it’ll be forgotten.
There’s a score to settle from the lockdown of public places a few months back. The VA’s action is just one more insult by the Obamas.
Christmas is a RELIGIOUS holiday? At least I’ve always thought it was.
I just read on foxnews.com that the VA has banned all Cjristmas cards that mention God, Christmas or quote scripture. I feel like I wasted 20 years of my life in the Navy.
Hard to imagine anything more beautiful than a group of kids singing Christmas carols and giving words of thanks to a group of patriots...
Permission Denied!
Christmas is a Federal Holiday, BY LAW!!!
The VA needs some ass-kicking from the top down.
Its the top that is causing the problems to start with.
I truly hope you are right.
And this is particularly frustrating considering most of the vets I know enjoy Christmas carols, even of the religious variety. I say that knowing that some of the vets I know are not ‘Christian’ by any stretch of the imagination. We have gotten so PC that I am no longer convinced that saying God Bless you to someone who sneezes wouldn’t land me in jail
Thanks armydawg505.
unfortunately the panty waist in chief is out playing golf
Makes sense when you consider that about 47% of the population gets something from Uncle Sugar that they never worked for.

Where are the Republican leaders speaking out against this religious persecution? Where are the Christian clerical leaders speaking out against this religious persecution? Why isn't the Vatican speaking out against this widespread religious persecution being cleverly carried out in subtle, small detailed instances instead of harping on the tired canard of "world peace" and making nice with atheists and homos.
Looks like the heavy lifting rests with us in the laity. If we don't rise to the occasion, pretty soon we'll have to dig networks of tunnels to hide out like the Christians of yore.
I'm heartened by the resolve and brave forthrightness of our freeper posters.

This admin just keeps pushing and pushing and pushing-
I am sick of it!
I want my country back!
It is Christmas!.....a time to celebrate the birth of our Savior Christ Jesus!
They attack our veterans...they close our national parks ....this is a war on the Christian faith. May God have mercy on us here in America and may he have mercy on our armed forces around the world who love and serve Him.

I wonder it I could get them to ban Christmas carolers coming to my house while they’re at it?
