NORCROSS, Ga. Norcross police now believe a group of adults and a child seen on surveillance video robbing a jewelry store is actually a family of career criminals.
The Legacy Jewels store inside Global Mall on Jimmy Carter Boulevard was robbed Nov. 19. The thieves were so smooth in their heist that store workers didn't even realize $20,000 worth of jewels was missing until they went to close the store hours later.
The surveillance video, according to police, shows a man and young boy about 7 or 8 years old walking into the store. The pair talk to a clerk about some items but police believe it was simply a distraction for two women who were standing nearby.

The odds are better than even that these “good folks” were part of a gypsy clan.
Looks like it could well be.
Ex was a GIA certified gemologist/jeweler. Even back then, gypsies would do smash & grabs as a family. All the jewelers were warned just to let them have whatever they wanted because they’d maim or kill you if you tried to stop them.
Do gypsies qualify as oppressed minorities?
Anyway, they do home kick burglaries the same way such that in some cases the homeowner is faced with shooting the little kid or not as they use their own kid as a “hostage” backing away.
Typically the women are also armed and know how to aggressively fight, not just their men.
They generally stake out a location (home, office, shop) and move in for the kill when they outnumber the occupants.
If one does get yelled at, the others from different points inside the room will attack, then they will all run out in different directions.
This is some rare footage...most the clans are into
Politics now...more lucrative,less risK.....

“travellers”
That clerk is worse than useless!
“That clerk is worse than useless!”
The store was located ironically, on Jimmy Carter Blvd.
That is some fatazz Travelers.
Gypsies. Guess what, they steal.
I have a third alternative in mind. As a young man I worked in the accounting office of a large Catholic Chicago hospital. An old gypsy was in for surgery and about 75 gypsies camped out in the visitors waiting. After the second day the gift shop and cafeteria showed massive losses of food, merchandise, stainless silverware even small store display fixtures.
Early the third day a bunch of off-duty, mostly Catholic cops showed up and escorted ten or twelve of the gypsy men on a tour of the back grounds of the hospital. After the tour was over, the visitors all left leaving only very well-behaved immediate family members.
They aren’t gypsies. They’re Mexicans. Likely a couple of illegal parents who’ve had children here. Just doing the job Americans won’t do.
One thing I noticed is how easy the thieves were able to just slide the door open to steal the jewels. Most jewelers I have been to lock the door so you need a key to open the sliding door. Makes me think the jewels were not very valuable?
They looked like gypsy’s to me, is there a Carnival in town?
One wonders the true value of the Jewels. Jewelry stores mark up prices at least double sometimes much more.
They probably fenced for around $2,000 dollars.
Thus the word “gyped” when referring to being cheated.
