It wasn’t racism, they just hated his fashion sense.
I think his homeies beat him up for whatever reason. Maybe not paying for his drugs or something. His story sounds really fishy - like all those other “attacks” that proved false.
I have never met a Hasidic who I was worried about being near.
I have met those who are not afraid of standing their ground.

I speculated on another thread on this story that there’s much more going on here than we are hearing. All your points are valild especially how did these people know he was gay. Sounds like a drug deal gone bad.
