New Video Angle Shows Mike Tomlin Incident, League Considers Punishment
CBS Pittsburgh ^ | December 2nd, 2013 | Michael Challick

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The NFL is reviewing whether Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin tried to interfere with a kick return in Baltimore.

The play is being discussed among Steelers fans across Pittsburgh and the entire country.

KDKA has another angle of the play shot exclusively by KDKA-TV photographer Michael Challik.

You can see Tomlin actually take a side-step toward the field, where his foot ends up on the field of play.

He then jumps out of the way when he realized the Ravens’ kickoff return was heading his way.

Tomlin says he was watching the play on the jumbotron and got disoriented.

The NFL will decide if Tomlin’s actions were intentional.

Former Steeler punter and co-host of Starkey, Miller and Mueller on 93-7 The Fan, Josh Miller, spoke to NewsRadio 1020 KDKA and said he thinks Tomlin knew what he was doing.

“Nothing he does isn’t thought out or planned, he knew what he was doing,” Miller said. “So yes, I think it was intentional.”

Busted! Damning video at link. What will the fine be on the Rooney coach? Maybe Obama could make a call on Tomlin's behalf.

Heh, when I heard about this, I thought “Yeah, I could see someone getting fixated on the big screen and forgetting where they were for a second...”

And then when I saw the replay with that sh** eating grin on Tomlin’s face, I had to laugh.

He just couldn’t help himself, and that gave it away completely.

Tomlin seems like a pretty good coach going through some trying times...I wouldn’t want to be one of his players right now.

It’s pretty obvious that, when he took just one step to the right to interfere with the player with the ball, that he wasn’t disoriented.

You could see that in the video, one step.

Someone said it might also cost them a draft pick

Everything you need know about the evil duo of Rooney/Tomlin is right here: Rooney, Tomlin give to Obama.

Although born there, I hate what the Pittsburgh Steelers have become post-Cowher. Even before the slobbering over Obama by Tomlin, it was the racist Rooney Rule that turned me against the black and gold.

I sure hope Rush Limbaugh will reconsider his support for them.

Rumor is possible six figure fine and lost draft pick.

I dunno. Steelers lost the game. They've sucked all this season. Should be punishment enough.

The bottom line is that he shouldn’t have been on the field. He knows that, and to say that he was disoriented by the jumbotron is a bit silly, given how many hours he’s spent on the field.

A coworker told me that Rush has ZERO connection to Pitt, and that his love of the Steelers is as gay as people from North Dakota loving the Yankees, or people from Maine loving the Cowboys. Is this true? Does Rush have zero connections to Pitt?

The league will have a “show” punishment and soften the blow behind the scenes. No joke about Barry making a call.

Rush worked as a DJ at a radio station in Pittsburgh - in the 70’s IIRC. A friend used to live near him.

I’m pretty sure Rush worked at KDKA during the time of the “steel curtain”.

Does Rush have zero connections to Pitt?

Rush Limbaugh worked there in the 70s when Chaz Noll was shaping the once-woeful Steelers into a dynasty. Here's more about Rush and the 'burgh.

Above, Rush Limbaugh, then known as Jeff Christie as a disk jockey in McKeesport, a town outside of Pittsburgh.

The Rooney Rule, what a friggin’ joke. Why not implement the Rooney Rule for the make up of the player base? The NFL make more millionaires that another company on the face of the earth. You don’t hear Jesse and company bitching about that now, do you?

From the latest NFL article on the subject:

The question remains: Were Tomlin's actions intentional?

The new angle is similar to the infamous Zapruder film. People see what they want to see in it.

Wow.

It didn’t stop a TD on a return but in a Redskins game this week the Special Teams Coordinator for the Redskins was standing in the white along the sideline and caught a 15 yard penalty.

Are you sure of that? I've heard it said that NBA players are more financially awarded, but perhaps there are not as many.

What astounds me is how Bob Kraft, the ultra-leftist owner of the Patriots, consistently fields an offense year after year with relatively few of Holder's people on that side of the ball. As a strong supporter of Hussein and the 'Rats, you'd think that oh-so-PC Kraft would push for more color on his team. Instead, the Pats just might qualify for this name:
