Cher told her fans on Wednesday that she does not celebrate Thanksgiving. In fact, she appears to deplore the American holiday, calling in the beginning of a great crime. Cher said that the American settlers were guilty of taking land from native Americans who had no concept of property ownership and also intentionally infected them with smallpox.
You dont celebrate the holiday I thought? a fan asked Cher.
I DONT, Cher replied emphatically. She said that, to her, Thanksgiving is a day to see family, eat food together and watch a movie. Not 2 celebrate the beginning of a GREAT Crime.
When asked why she believed this by another fan, Cher explained: Stealing Land, from a ppl, Who believed, Owning Land Was LIke Owning SKY!
We gave them Blankets laced w/ Smallpox, Cher concluded.

Cher is somewhere between one-fourth and one-eighth Native American. To my knowledge, her upbringing was normal middle-class white American, and that she never had any significant Native American experience as a youth. My former girlfriend had a lot more Native American in her, and she does not in any way share Cher’s attitudes. My ex-GF was one-fourth Sioux, her first husband was a full-blooded native, and she spent several years living on a rez in eastern Washington. And she happily celebrates Thanksgiving.
the Cherokee were not at Wyoming County and Cherry Valley
too far north..
BTW my ancestors were at Wyoming ..
They were white Americans..
That is one miserable, unhappy hag.
Go drown in something, Cher.
I wish I had forgotten them.
Yep. Nobody seems to consider that smallpox is spread by infected droplets during coughing and sneezing, and that the virus has a vanishingly short survival outside the body. Of course, nobody knew it back then but we’re supposed to know better now. Popular story, though.
“Well, for openers, it was the paleface who rescued them from their squalor by teaching them about casinos.”
The Great White Pit Boss ?
Leave you worthless trogg; you are benefitting from the pilgims’ sacrifices that you don’t deserve. Turn over your fortune to charity as it obviously isn’t yours.
Now that’s a transvestite.
I thought hair like that went out in the 80s, or was it the 70s? Come to think of it, I don’t think that hair like THAT was ever “in.” It looks like the contents of an exploded vacuum cleaner bag.
She’s looks like more distant relative to the Kardashians. LOL
I agree with your question.
now that is weaponized ignorance!
Cher’s biggest crime is what she did to her daughter.
No way could that child have been that crazy without inheriting it from this nutcase.
In fact, the whole Sonny and Cher shtick, even before she went solo, was based on the misunderstood teenager bit. Cher has been cashing-in on that “poor me” thing since she was 17. Sonny Bono did it with a grin, knowing it was a guaranteed money-making shtick if done well, but Cher ended up taking the whole thing with way too much gravitas, and now she’s become an idiot over it.
Wyoming always angers me.....we asked for men and were denied.
“Cher Savages Thanksgiving: I Dont Celebrate the Beginning of a Great Crime”
I guess that means no birthday parties for her either. Does she have a problem with American Indians history of slaughtering other tribes and enslaving them? Or only with Europeans, did she ever not sell her crap or tour in European countries to protest history? No she is just another aging over the hill, over promoted meat sack of botox and plastic.
What's so idyllic about living a lifestyle that is barely at a subsistence level? Being under the constant threat of starvation should the buffalo fail to show up in the tribe's hunting grounds doesn't seem to be a very idyllic way to live.
In her book The Discovery of Freedom: Man's Struggle Against Authority (New York: Day, 1943), Rose Wilder Lane blamed the extreme poverty of the American Indians on the "communist" lifestyle practiced by most of their tribes.
