This guy is finally getting his eyes opened—and that’s a good thing!
...tell him it’s good thing he’s trying now and not three years from now....then sing:
Right to the end
Just like a friend
I tried to warn you somehow
You had your way
Now you must pay
Im glad that youre sorry now
Good for you. Thank you for showing him how reality is mugging him. Let’s hope he has a bit of deductive reasoning that helps him make the transition away from liberalism.
ha ha ha ..hope the little twit loses a ton of money!
My son has started a number of small businesses and has spent innumerable hours filing crapola just so he could go powerwash a deck or put wall board in some kitchen
Money is the great eye opener, regardless of party affiliation and not soon forgotten.
when the student is ready, the teacher will appear
Your colleague is a curious liberal breed. One that actually feels he has to obey all the tax laws etc.
Most of his ilk just ignore those pesky interruptions. Little Timmy Geitner is a prime example.
I hate to say it but all that will happen is he will blame the Republicans for his problems. It is wishful thinking to hope he will change. He won’t, Liberalism is wonderful, Republicans are bad to him.
But - is he still towing the party line that it’s Republicans that have put this bureaucratic red tape in place?
The libs I know still do. “...well... it’s BOTH parties... it started with Bush..Reagan..Ford..etc...” They can’t help it.
They are so well taught in acedemia that reality has no place and dont ever question what is, just follow happily. This, much like the surprise many zombies are getting with his healthcare scam. This is our comedy relief, how much did you or your parents pay for reprograming.............I mean college? Most of us got it for free by asking tough questions with a high school diploma
They won’t listen, and there’s a “very good” reason they won’t.
When you point out the failures of their ideology, you’re attaching their righteousness. They derive their ability to call themselves a “good person” by the policies they support.
So, whether you intend to or not, when you attack those policies as destructive, harmful, and at best, ineffective - you are attacking their righteousness and they will immediately shut you out.

Cryin’ tears of joy, I’m cryin’ tears of pain
Cryin’ tears of joy, they run down my face
Into a river that winds its way into your life
Welcome little one, to this place of earth and stone
Welcome little one, all blue eyes and innocence
The world is so much colder than your own soft glance
Hey, it’s a human race
Hey, it’s a brave new place
Hey, now you’re at the gate
Welcome to the real world, there’s so much to learn
Welcome to the real world
Welcome to the real world, there’s so much to learn
Welcome to the real world
The past is a memory, the chains that were chokin’ me
I’m cryin’ tears of pain, I’m cryin’ tears of joy
I see my freedom lyin’ in my arms tonight
Hey, it’s a human race
Hey, it’s a brave new place
Hey, now you’re at the gate
Welcome to the real world, there’s so much to learn
Welcome to the real world
Welcome to the real world, there’s so much to do
Welcome to the real world
Welcome to the real world
(I know you’ll find your way)
There’s so much to learn
(In the real world)
Welcome to the real world
Welcome to the, welcome to the
(There’s so much to learn)
Welcome to the
(Welcome to the real world)
Welcome, welcome
(Welcome to the real world)
I saw something similar with a couple donating for a new building for their favorite charity—that then got caught up in all sorts of ADA red tape and restrictions.
That was a one-time thing, however, and it hasn’t affected their politics.
“Tol-ja-so” is appropriate here!
There was a leftist writer who married into an Asian Family and bought a corner store in some borough of NYC. It was a true learning experience for the poor sap.
I wish I could remember the title.
"In retrospect, I wish I had known more about the hazards and difficulties of such a business, especially during a recession of the kind that hit New England just as I was acquiring the inns 43-year leasehold. I also wish that during the years I was in public office, I had had this firsthand experience about the difficulties business people face every day. That knowledge would have made me a better U.S. senator and a more understanding presidential contender.
He goes on to talk about how all sorts of crazy regulations, that may have appeared to make sense to the politicians passing them, were actually serving to create a huge headache for businesses -- often because whoever is writing the laws has no idea what they're talking about: In short, one-size-fits-all rules for business ignore the reality of the marketplace. And setting thresholds for regulatory guidelines at artificial levels e.g., 50 employees or more, $500,000 in sales takes no account of other realities, such as profit margins, labor intensive vs. capital intensive businesses, and local market economics."
