They really do this to dogs and people. : )
Whenever my husband gets ready for bed and is brushing his teeth, the cat races to sit on his pillow. Then when he moves her she acts cranky about it. Every night, the same routine.
My golden has passed away but she always rushed to take his places when he was alive. Finally, he just laid down on top of her as if she was not there. She would get all huffy but move.

I love the way cats just look at the dogs.

With maybe a slight indication that a paw (with claws) is in their future if they make a fuss! :-)

My kittie (God hold her soul when we are to be reunited) was moochele obozo — the whole world was there to kowtow to her every whim and ignore any hypocrisy.
But Musica was a CAT!

WTSHTF, I’ll take my dogs into the woods to hunt and y’all take your “kittehs”.
We’ll see who goes hungry that night.

“Well see who goes hungry that night.”
I’ll take both. (Just in case the dog and I don’t get anything.)

I’ve probably hunted more with hounds than without, but that wouldn’t be my choice for a survival situation. Way too noisy.

You should get a pack of Ibizan Hounds.
Fast, silent and deadly.
You won’t even need a gun.
Very good in situations where you’d not want to be heard.
Throw in a few Dobes and there’s no limit to what they can bring down.
Hunting in heavy brush?
A Portuguese Podengo Medio will flush prey into the waiting jaws of the bigger dogs, even though it’s quite capable of killing it, itself.
All my dogs are very functional creatures.

In Spain and Portugal, these guys are subsistence hunters.
It’s not a “sport”.
It’s how they eat.
The Portuguese immigrants here use Portguese Podengos for the same purpose.
Northern CA and the NE coast are full of them.
