A majority says it is a bad thing for Republicans to control the House, with an even higher percentage believing Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) should lose his job, according to a new poll.
A CNN-ORC poll released Monday found 54 percent oppose Republican control of the House while 38 percent say it is a good thing....
The poll, taken over the weekend, surveyed 841 adults and has a 3.5-percent margin of error.

A majority of what?
Fat lazy know it alls like Candy Crowley?
corrupt pols like McCain and Rangel?
a majority of the souls on the road to perdition?
my relatives are such pathetic mental midget obama worshipers I am casting about for ways not to have them at my Thanksgiving table
Thanks for what
I think Boner should loose his job too...
Look at what great shape CA is in!
Sure, give progressives complete control of the govt!
The Poll was taken of 841 people in Chicago.
(you know what that means)Demoville
What was the percent of Democrats polled to Republicans polled? There will be a phony poll released every day until the 2014 elections.
The RINOs who hate conservatives, too, have to be eliminated in the primaries, just to make sure we are rid of them.
Poll taken in the NYT’s newsroom ?
Well, perhaps I agree — I certainly don’t want Liberals to control the House.
This isnt a biggie. The GOP is divided into two camps..Washington DC cocktail party set and then Conservatives. Guess who has more peeps?
This is called a push poll. I’m surprised this showed up on “The Hill”. I used to read “The Hill” but stopped a few years back. I didn’t think it had gone left on us.
I like your tagline!
That's also not even close to what Gallup recently found, also surveying just "adults". The support for single party rule is at its lowest point in the last 10 years.
Maybe CNN just surveyed Obamaphone users. Or their own newsroom.
Actually I believe this poll to be fairly accurate. Why?
Talking with my “conservative” nephew gave me a glimpse into the next generation’s thinking process.
They don’t understand how the 3 separate, but equal forms of our government work to create a system of checks and balances. When pressed to explain it basically came down to him saying if there was single party control...at least things would get done. Of course I challenged him to rethink his idea of tyranny between the legislative, executive, and judicial branches ....
But what it revealed is that this next generation does not have the education to comprehend the difference between a republic, democracy, and tyranny. They don’t understand the only thing standing between them and mob rule is The Republican/Tea Party.
It is a very sad statement made by that poll.
Oh another poll...we know how credible, beliievable, and unbiased they are. We know they would never be used to change public opinion using bandwagon mentality..../s
Probably taken on the BET website. You have to know who to ask to get the desired result you know.
A poll for dopes. If you polled Charlie Rangel’s district it would be 95 to 5 against Republicans. If you polled Scott Garrett’s New Jersey district it would be 55 to 45 in favor of Republicans. You would have to poll the remaining “swing” districts that have not been gerrymandered into secure districts to predict what will occur in 2014. Also a year is an eternity in electoral politics.
