Andrew Heller: It's time for the Tea Party to pay the piper

The government shutdown, by one estimate, sucked $24 billion out of the American economy in just two weeks. How about we send the bill to the Tea Party?

According to Time magazine, the shutdown cost:

• About $3.1 billion in lost government services, according to the research firm HIS.

• $152 million per day in lost travel spending, according to the U.S. Travel Association.

• $76 million per day lost because of National Parks being shut down, according to the National Park Service.

• $217 million per day in lost federal and contractor wages in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area alone

The government is NOT the economy. The government is a parasite ON the economy.

“According to Time magazine”

Source is of dubious integrity and knowledge, sort of like the current administration.

I hate to cost you all some brain cells that will most assuredly be sacrificed by reading this but you can send the bill to Heller.

The leftards have become delusional. Just goes to show they have no idea what the Tea Party is about.

How about we send the bill to the Tea Party?

How about all the black people in America send a billl to the Democrat Party for slavery reparations, plus interest?

Heller’s brand of stupid doesn’t come by chance. The only things that can produce that are long term huffing of leaded gasoline or intentional liberal indoctrination.

How about we send a bill back to them for all the welfare payments received after, say, 1980?
That should have been long enough since the start of the war on poverty started.

Why don’t they list the SAVINGS not paying out for stupid duplicated programs each one with a 100K exec or staff... that produce... NOTHING.

It more than balances the “jobs” churned from govt. expense, that support.....what.

We are headed to a marxist commune economic system that produces only... graft to get ahead. Like....today!!

All federal jobs are a drain on the economy. Even those that are truly necessary like the military. Unless federal workers manage to spend more than the taxpayers pay them, its a drain.

The Government spends $10 billion of taxpayers’ money PER DAY. So that $25 billion this fool is talking about - 16 day closure - is really nothing. The question is how much did we save while the government was shut down. Even with the backpay to furloughed Fed workers afterward....

Would be interesting to find out...

Of course, and the DemonRATs had nothing at all to do with it. Nothing at all.
/SARC

The Republicans passed a bill to raise the debt ceiling, fund a Continuing Resolution, and even fund Zer0-care, but stipulated:

1. No exemptions from Zer0-care, not for unions, not for Muzzloids, not for Amish, not even for the _resident of the Spite House.

2. The Senate and Senate staffers would have to pay for the Zer0-care increases in their health insurance without the taxpayers help.

3. Either a one-year delay for everybody, or no delay for anybody.

The DemonRATS found this so distasteful that they preferred to keep the government “shut down”, to threaten default on the debt, and to continue harassing tourists and veterans in the National Parks.

So if Zer0-care is such a wunnerful, wunnerful program, that unicorns, rainbows, dancing bears, “entertainment” icons, and the whole DemonRAT party give it such glowing and gushing endorsements, why are they so hesitant to participate in it?

Please remember these things when you talk to your Leftoid acquaintances.
