Let it be Known

"Sorry. Obamacare is going to hurt me and I can't buy that right now." "Sorry. I used to give to your charity each year, but the money must go for my higher health insurance costs due to Obamacare." "Sorry. We have to lay off 20% of our work force, and the people who own the cars in the company lot with the Obama Biden bumper stickers.... well, you're first. You understand, don't you?" I used to avoid the unknown incoming phone numbers on my home phone. They were usually solicitors. But not anymore. I pick up, I listen... then I let it be known that I can't buy that right now. I choose not to buy that right now. I choose not to give at this moment. I just found out what Obamacare is doing to me and my family and, frankly, my duty is to take care of them. People who support Obama and his "signature" legislation have to be made to know, must learn, that what is bad for me just became bad for them. Don't miss an opportunity to let them know that their guy is the cause.

In the meantime, there is a shortage of blood and a major disaster strikes. How many lives could needlessly be lost because you and others won’t donate?

Just my humble opinion, but I think the anger is misdirected. Now if the Republican Party or some RINO candidate calls, looking for money, I would say no. The party and its gaggle of liberal no balls traitors can stuff it.

I happen to know the assistant director of the local food bank. She told me that this food bank is seeing more and more people who would never have come to the food bank before. People who had good careers, but the employer closed or downsized, or some catastrophic illness wiped them out financially. These aren’t the usual Obamaphone slackers. They are middle class or upper middle class, or they were before disaster struck.

Look, I can’t tell you who to contribute to, but I’d just like for you to consider that not everyone who seeks charitable assistance is a lazy, entitlement whore. As this economy gets worse and our dear leader starts raiding whatever we have in the name of redistribution of wealth, I expect to see more and more people you and I are close to looking for help. Maybe even you and me.

No anger involved - just trying to make my point. If I am being forced to pay for something that is untenable, then the government should have to pay for something that is needed. I will gladly continue to give blood, but it now has a price - just like insurance companies charge a price and the government penalizes with a tax.
