Sometimes the sins omission are as grave as the sins of commission I guess

We’ve talked about this on FR for ten years now. Ditka would have ended Obama’s career before it ever started. Ditka should have done it if only to avenge the disgusting attacks on Jack Ryan using his divorce records.

all it takes for evil to progress is for good men to do nothing....

I like Allan Keyes a lot but a Mike Ditka would have really been something and probably would have won easily...

a good lesson for us all. when opportunity arises, better give your all.

“...For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.” Luke 12:48.

Dr. Keyes is brilliant. He’d make a great Senator or a great President.

What kind of Republican is Ditka? Is he one of us?

sins [of] omission

Like the last sentence of your excerpt, which you cut off in the middle.

You're allowed 300 words, you know.

Another regret: if Bush hadn’t started the unpopular Iraq war, the Democrats never would have gained so many seats in Congress and they never could have passed Obamacare.

I think an amateur politician would have been clobbered by the Democrat attack/smear machine, particularly upstate.

Coach’s heart may be in the right place but ruthless Democrats would have dug up every scintilla of dirt and distorted it beyond recognition with their media friends leading the way. As Herman Cain showed, if you don’t have an immediate answer and counterpoint, the media will rip you to shreds.

Of course, had he won, we’d have had Emperor Hillary today.

Paul Harvey told a story about a German army veteran who died insane.
During WWI he was involved in a fistfight in the trenches with a fellow soldier and nearly choked him to death but relented and let him live.

Guess the other fellow's name.

Aye. Hillary would have whooped McCain by an even bigger margin because she wouldn’t have lost the racist hillbilly democrat vote like Obama did and would’ve won women by a bigger margin too. Unlike Obama, she’s actually from here, so we in Illinois wouldn’t even have been spared the local shame!

Still, it would’ve been nice if this Obama remained a funny-named footnote in history. And Hillary might have struggled to win again in 2012 due to a lack of the “cool guy” American idol persona that Obama had to inspire the masses of idiots to vote for him gain despite his horrendous performance. She’d have been an old lady turning into the Crypt keeper before the nation’s eyes, the stresses of the top job taking a bigger toll on her than being SOS did.

Even if she had Lazioed Romney at least we’d have her end date in sight by now.

Wish in one hand and spit in the other and see which one fills up first.

Coulda, woulda, didn’t. Hopey, Dopey did.

Ultimately, I think the margin of states would’ve been the same. She wouldn’t have carried most of the South (certainly not Arkansas, where she was never well regarded). Now, as you said, whether she would’ve won reelection is another story. Unlike Zero, who can fake being likeable, she has a difficult time with that, and combine that with her rapidly aging visage and shrill and annoying heavy Chicagoland accent (which some have said reminds one of their current or ex-mother-in-law), I think she would’ve become massively unpopular as President really fast. We may still live to see that come to pass, especially if the establishment runs another ringer, this time the corpulent buttmunch from Jersey, in 2016. Then again, we may see another shrill, deceitful Stalinist liar get the rodent nod, since Fauxcahontas is chomping at the bit.

I just read a good post essentially describing the Presidency, the absence of Christianity, and idolatry. Perhaps the Obama outcome was beyond Ditka’s control.
