Tim Tebow, after being cut by the New England Patriots last week, has refused to change positions after a NFL team expressed interest in him, SI’s Peter King reported on NBC’s 2013 NFL Kickoff show.

I don’t think anybody that’s been with 3 teams can be said to be black balled. He’s not a good QB, he can’t read defenses (which will seriously impede him taking another offensive position), his throws are inaccurate, and his throws are inconsistent (consistent inaccuracy can be dealt with, when their landing spot is random there’s not much you can do to fix it). Add all that weakness at the position to the legion of fans that will clamor for him to go in every time the starter throws an incompletion he’s an instant QB controversy and his only upside is jersey sales.
I'm sorry, I don't mean to offend anyone; but, I have, in my life, run into too many people who are sitting in the front pews and then behave terribly outside of the church. Now, I'm not saying that he is behaving terribly; but, I am saying that he seems incapable of thinking that God may be challenging him. Perhaps God would like to see a little more humility from this man. And, if he takes a different position on the team, he may find himself being very successful. Instead, he insists on the prime spot on the team.
So, Mr. Tebow (who, btw, I feel has been harrassed for his Christian beliefs), be humble, say yes to an opportunity being presented to you and do that job to the best of your ability. You will be rewarded.
Yet he would still be better than half the jug heads starting today.

No. Almost all the guys on your list have a higher completion percentage than him, he is demonstrably NOT better.
Completions yes, wins no. In the end it is about the W not how you look. Poor Romo, big bad gunslinger but yet cannot seem to win when it counts. Being a winner is more important than being good.
The reason Brady will be the #1 all time QB, not his completion rate but he will win more SB’s than anyone else.
I live in Missouri and followed the Rams when Kurt Warner was their QB. There was nobody more devout in his Christian faith and more willing to thank God and credit Him for his successes than Warner was. He and his wife were known throughout the state for their devotion to God and to their family. Warner was just as public in his faith as Tebow is in his. The difference is that Warner was a quarterback, and a very good quarterback at that. He could play the position as few others could. He was a winner both on and off the field. Tebow is not. Tebow is a good man and a good Christian who is badly miscast in the role of an NFL quarterback. That is why Tebow is out of the NFL and why Warner had a long and possibly Hall-Of-Fame career. It has nothing to do with faith and everything to do with talent and skill.
You may have something there. While it’s admirable that he’s intent on realizing his dream, at some point you take what you can get. How badly does he want to be in the NFL? Unless he gets better at the QB position - and I don’t know if that’s possible - he cannot have a career as an NFL quarterback. That said he seems like a great guy and if he sticks to his principles he’ll likely do just fine, whether he stays in the NFL or not.
Tebow has fought to play QB since Pop Warner and has had a great deal of success, including a state high school championship, a Heisman trophy, a college national championship, and a winning NFL record and playoff win.
Yet they keep on losing...
Wins is a team stat, with a 53 man roster teams can win with a bad QB. Just ask the 2000 Ravens whose QB is still considered the worst to ever touch a Lombardi. The reason Brady is highly considered is because he completes passes and those complete passes help his team put up gaudy statistics and win games including championships (though not more than anybody else, he’s not even tied for first).
That’s a pretty good summation of his weaknesses. If you compare him to Peyton Manning or Tom Brady as a pocket passer, then no, he’s not very good. Neither are many “athletic” quarterbacks, but they are given year after to year to show the “upside” we keep hearing about. Tebow is done. Can’t even be a backup. Terrelle Pryor is a starter. Pryor looks like what the NFL wants an athletic QB to look like. Tebow doesn’t.
Actually the modern NFL hardly gives anybody more than 1 season to get it together. If Pryor doesn’t succeed this year, his first as a starter, he’s gone, and really if Flynn hadn’t sucked in the pre-season he’d be starting. What the league wants athletic QBs to look like is the same as they want every other QB to look like: over 60% completions.
LOL! Not a bad theory but I think that you may have to adjust the balance of the continent to take into account the Bills. Maybe the Chargers? Just sayin'.
I agree about Warner being a better qb but I think that anti christian bigotry has become much more accepted since then.
I hope this is sarcasm. Because what I saw was a quarterback go 3 and out for the first 3 1/2 quarters while the Denver defense kept the team in the game. Those were some of the flukiest wins I ever saw.
You left Christian Ponder off that list.
