I think baseball should be 100% clean of all steriods, etc. If ARod did in fact use and PEDs then he should lose his appeal. But the case is in process, his appeal is in process. At this point he is in the process of appeal and can play at least until it wraps up.

I never thought ARod or any one player coming off the DL would make or break the Yankees. The only effect I've seen the past couple weeks is actually more like a mental placebo, giving the players in the lineup confidence to actually hit with RISP.

I'm happy to wait and see what happens regarding the appeal.

I'm not happy to see fans cheering a hit batter.

I suppose if he got in in just the right place in the head, and dropped down dead on the ground, there would be wild celebrations in Boston.

That is ONE NASTY TOWN.

I agree that’s uncalled for. In fact I would be wondering if the MLB can sanction umpires.

A-Rod deserves every HBP he gets from every pitcher he faces....

Alex Rodriguez is in for some tough times now that it has gotten out there that he ratted out other major league players in this latest steroid scandal. Getting hit by a pitch is the least of his worries right now.

His career will soon be over and any MLB records he holds will be tarnished with the infamous "asterisk".

I have no desire to see Boston-NY games the rest of this year

Not condoning it, but it won't be the last time, and prolly not just in Boston.

Went to a Red Sox game in 190. I was on a tour of classic ball parks with a buddy of mine. We were sitting in right field. I was wearing my Braves hat. Two drunk females sitting behind us were cursing us and harassing us for eight innings. The cops finally tossed them before the ninth. In Atlanta they would have been tossed in the 2nd. That was my impression of Boston fans.

It seems that your knowledge of the history of this game could fit into this with plenty of room to spare......

Yeah, never before has a MLB player been intentionally hit by a pitch and everybody in the ball park knew it was coming.

I got no problem cheering it, he’s an overpriced jerk, but given how crappy he’s playing I do question the strategy.

when it acts like a man, it will get treated like a man. And I guess will just have to try out your cute lil hypothesis to see if it’s reality or hyperbole.

The Bronx isn’t exactly etiquette school either.

A-Rod deserves to get hit by a pitch for dating Madonna, never mind what else he did.

Let me let you in on a non-secret. MLB pitchers have always thrown at MLB batters. It is called baseball.

Bleh, A-Fraud has it coming. Fans were cheering when Dale Earnhardt crashed in the 2001 Daytona 500. When you are a lightening rod, you are going to alienate a lot of people.

Just Outrageous! In the entire history of the Baltimore Orioles/NY Highlanders/NY Yankee baseball franchise, no opponents batter was ever intentionally HBP.
