I worked in corporate loss prevention a long time ago...let me tell you...this is beyond lawsuit...these cops should be in prison.

Outrageous, yes. But doesn’t have the proper racial component to provoke national media interest.
She was no doubt shoplifting dog toys.
I agree, but at the same time, I suspect this woman will likely curtail her bad shopping habits in the future.
So some posters laugh she won’t shoplift any more. But that ain’t no reason to assault the woman. The cops should be jailed, fired and made to pay thousands to her. Cops out of control. They take the job, they need to show restraint or get punished.
...and she’s an idiot, too, for bringing her kid along.

The cops out to be prosecuted for assault and battery, the store and city will be sued.
I think the psychology here is that this particular woman’s race gave him the green light to unleash his frustration from prior incidents where the perp’s race prevented him from doing so.
I don’t want to watch a woman getting beaten.....so I don’t know what’s on the video. Why were they beating her?
There is a subset of FReepers who will:
(1) Condemn this conduct vociferously
and
(2) Would say that if this woman walked into their living room and stole something of theirs, they would be more than justified to put a bullet through her head.
She was in the manager’s office with the cops and it appears she said something one of them didn’t like so they both just started to pummel her.
She has been arested multiple times for shoplifting. She fought with the policeman when he tried to arrest her and bit his finger and would not let go. He slugged her twice to get his finger back and when he did he hit her again one more time. She traveled to Chicago to hire a black person to represent her so now she can sue. She is a former thief and you cannot believe any thing she says. 10 years of theft and jail time. The cop should not have hit her the 2rd time but we don’t know what she was doing.
Tough way to win a lottery but she will.
